Out of that lot ill go with KK. Anyone but Nick, but i like most of them . Decent guys to be honest.

No brats like Shapovalov etc thankfully.

Yeah same general feeling here. Only nice guys and Nick left xD

Also that's good that you root for poor Karen, I felt bad about him being stuck with 0 votes lol

Before the miracle of chemistry (that has doubtless affect on athletes and longevity), the ages of the remaining men’s draw seem quite historically representative.

Honestly, I'm rooting for one of the Italians to take it. All-Italian final would be especially sweet

It won’t be kyrgios. Sinner, Alcaraz and Ruud are all better than him. He’s also mentally weak. He’ll self sabotage.
It won’t be Alcaraz. He’s too green still and there’s too much pressure and Sinner is an awful match up for him.
It’ll be Ruud or Sinner. Enjoy!

Sinner played poorly last night but raised his level when he had to. Impressive win. He seems more physically slight than Pete was when he won.

Ruud winning could collapse the sport.

I wish Rafa was still here....but it's also refreshing to see all the contenders for a first grand slam.
Personally leaning towards Berrettini or Tiafoe but may the best man win.

A Russian winning the USO by defeating an American en route would be hilarious. That probably won't happen though.

Kyrgios is my choice, he is in amazing form, he turned it around this season....he'll win comeback player of the year also.

Voted Alcz, but....
  • Kyrgios I still worry he is bottling that crappy attitude down somewhere and it can explode and sink things in any match. He hasn't been pressured enough yet to get to it. That said, this could be his one year to make it.
  • Sinner is playing some even keeled tennis and doing MUCH better with pressure situations. Would love to see him make it to a final.
  • Alcaraz has improved his serve and service return, the two stats I saw him lacking in, but he still is struggling with some big highs and lows in matches. I mean, he competes better than most while down, but getting himself in the down positions is not going to allow escape all the time. Still, as far as engery, movement, and overall play, if he can manage to end on an upswing I think he can win.
  • Berritini is the kind of player to fluster Kyrgios, and i he wins I think that might be the push to get him to the finals and possible to win.
  • Happy to see Karen make a dep run, just not sure he has enough weapons against the above players.
  • Ruud, I dunno. I like his game and attitude, just when he wins I always feel like there is still something missing. He keeps proving me wrong, so will see there.
  • Rublev is always a crap shoot. If he can baseline bash his way through his patterns, all good, but lacks a lot of variety other players can exploit. Again, another player I am happy to see make a deep run.
  • Tiafoe has been playing his best tennis, but I don't have him in the same league as those above. Tends to get to wrapped up in individual points and excitement (handling that a bit better though) that gives hime a lot of very high highs and then lows. Would be nice to see an American in the finals or winning, so not counting that out.

2 Russians, 2 Italians, 1 Spaniard, 1 Australian, 1 Norwegian, 1 American.

Wonder which 1 of them will be the popular favourite to become the 10th active player to win a Slam in the Open Era come next Sunday? ;)

By the way, this QF also features players of all colours as far as I know (Curious is half Greek half Malaysian and Tiafoe is African American; the rest are all white it seems). So pretty interesting.

Nice. Only took 20 years

I’ll say sinner. Berretini maybe. Sinner is my pick though

Watch it will be Ruud LOL. It could be one of those things where the other guys burn themselves out and Ruud takes advantage and breezes through. Or Rublev takes advantage like Ruud and beats gassed opponents. This is one of the problems with no Nadal or djokovic. Would have crap matches and mugs taking it all

Shame we don't have an Asian player in the mix.

Best USO in recent memory!

I'm quite sure Berrettini and Ruud will not win. Rublev neither. We've already seen their best tennis. Ditto Karen.

It's gonna be another guy setting a new level/benchmark for himself. Kyrgios, Tiafoe, Sinner, Alcaraz...gonna be one of those four IMO

I just hope Kyrgios doesn't win. He's an awful person and example for the sport.

If Alcaraz needed 5 for Cilic and Sinner 5 for Ivashka, I do feel Nick is the favorite. But Berrettini will be a big ask for Nick with his awful forehand return and Berrettini's cannon.
I feel it will go the distance but Nick will win as Berettini is not as good a mover as Nick.
