The legend losing to a weak era king. Amazing isn't it? LOL
The same legend that didn't even want to take the court against the old weak era king at Indian Wells so he quit.
Im not going to get into the relative era strength debate but couldn't Roger be a weak era king and a decent player?

Fed was the King of the USO in the Weakera, winning 5 titles in a row! Just like in the country of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.
Tipical hyperpartizan and biased fanatic.Even in a thread about a Nadal slam win you can't refrain from bashing another great champion.#trollqueen, you should learn from the true Nadal fans and more so from Nadal himself. It's because of people like you this forum is "toxic" lately.

Did you notice that it was in response to this. If you want to accuse posters of being toxic then do it in a balanced way. NO one is more toxic than a Federer fan who make up the most derogatory accusations against his rivals for which they have no grounds. Why don't you sort your side out first before preaching to others who simply fight back.

Federer fans like to dish it out but can't take it.

The difference between me and you is that I don't talk trash about any of the BIG3.Yeah, but keep on complaining about others behaviour when you behave just like them.

Ah, and Fed fans are the worst ? I think you forgot about who started to talk about the weak era and diminishing Fed's achievements and all that stuff more than 10 years ago and keep doing it

I don't complain of anyone's behaviour I just respond to their post. You are very selective about whose behaviour you criticise. My advice to you is: put me on ignore. By the way, I'm not going to model myself on you. Thank you very much.

Ever since Rafa won the USO Fedfans have started endless threads thrashing him but that's OK by you.

The weak era is well documented. Just google it.

Definitely it's not ok, but maybe they are responding to similar behaviour from the other fanbases, I don't know.

I chose to criticize you because months ago when I joined this board I had the impression that you are an objective person from the Nadal's fanbase.

Anyway, let's not derail this thread.

This thread was started for Rafa fans to celebrate his USO title but Fedfans have sabotaged it, rubbishing Rafa's win and you think that's OK.

The same thing happens from rival fanbases when Fed wins a slam. Then again, I explained above that I don't think it's ok and why I chose to criticize you.

If you can find any comment I have ever made thrashing Federer after he's won a title, I would be grateful if you could point them out to me.
Yeah that's pretty pathetic that he the guy required a cupcake draw each time to get the job done. Nadal being a 4-time USO champion is the 3rd biggest tragedy in tennis after the Seles stabbing and Halep surgery.

I can't imagine what you guys must feel after Nadal went through Schwartzman, Berrettini and Medvedev. What a draw from hell.

This guy just keeps bringing butthurt to a new level. Nadal totally ruined his life. :-D :-D :-D :-D

If seriously, how he is not banned yet is beyond me. The most useless person on this forum. All he can do is cry.
If you think Tennis Pro is useless, you haven't seen anything yet. Wait until OddJack has time to settle in with his new moniker Jackdaw! :)

Whilst you are on your high horse, what have you got to say about this?

I'm still waiting for you to provide any evidence you have of me talking trash about any player, not just the Big3. You put yourself on a pedestal whilst you are conveniently accusing me of things I have never done. Now you've gone quiet because you have fallen off your high horse.

I'm waiting for an apology. If I don't hear from you, I'll take it that you cannot justify the accusations you levied at me.

If I didn't responded to you till now it's because the lack of time.Maybe my tone was too harsh but even so you are taking it too personally.I think you have to admitt that you are bashing Federer lately.

Enjoy, all of you!
;)

Even now watching that fifth set is scary, even though I know Nadal won. Especially the break points at the beginning, the missed chances from 5-2 and then the last game. That shot at 0-15, somehow managed to save a break point, then hit a risky drop shot which Medvedev almost reached. I still don't know how Nadal won it. Haters can cry a river but it was definitely one of Nadal's toughest wins. Medvedev played better than Andy Murray (yes, the "underrated" one) ever did in a slam final. No collapsing or choking from him at all.

Evidence please.

The difference between you and I is that I don't point fingers at others like you do and you don't care whether it's true or not. I am not a Federer fan, never have been and never will be. If you think that's a crime then so be it. Your double standards are so obvious in that you can ignore what it's convenient for you to ignore and make false accusations against me because I am not a Federer fan.

How can I not take a personal attack on me personally? Especially as you made it up because what you accused me of is simply NOT true.

I rewatched full match on weekends and can say it’s totally unfair to claim that Nadal was playing bad, like WhineFan3 or some haters do. The first set was shaky from both, but after that the quality of play was very high, especially some moments from Medvedev in the end of 3rd set when he got desperate and just fired every shot with all the power he had, and also from Nadal starting with 0-1 15-40 in fifth. The only disappointing moment for me was up a championship point on Medvedev’s serve when he could end it all with a classic forehand dtl on the run, it was chance to win in style.

What’s surprising for me: Medvedev’s serve is not that big of a weapon against Nadal. And he must sustain a very high net success to make the match up close.

USO plays slower than clay. The homogenization of surfaces has allowed many clay courters to make deep runs across hardcourts. Even Thiem made the QF of USO last year and won Indian Wells this year which played slower than Monte Carlo. LOL
PErhaps tennis not the sport for you if you think clay Is faster than hardcourt.

A good way to learn about surfaces is to play tennis on different surfaces. Can’t beat experiencing the reality in person

Nadal did miss some very good chances in the third set though. But yes, Medvedev really didn't give him another chance for a long time after that.

King of the USO in the weak era, calling him also an average player etc.Don't pretend that you are innocent.

Delightful!

Taking pleasure in the "humbling of Federer's followers," are we? o_O

Sounds nothing like a Nadal fan. What the hell?;)
I also think you misunderstand me. I think humility is a good quality. Even if you think Nadal fakes his, it is still better than being haughty and having airs of superiority.

This humbling I'm referring to has nothing to do with humiliation, but much more with stepping down from that golden pedestal and stopping all that disrespect for Nadal and his fans.

I recall not a single instance where I have gloated since Nadal won USO either, and I feel I am fairly even handed when talking about Fed and Djokovic. I admire Fed greatly, and I can appreciate what Djokovic has done even if his game does little for me. Yeah, I'm a Nadal fan. Sure, his style is not as elegant as Federer but it is more thrilling in a way.

It would be nice to have some mutual respect going, even that this would deter somewhat from the appeal (after all, most people do like conflict.)

Appreciate what you do as a poster (believe you're aware).

Nevertheless, that sentiment was textbook. :D

Carry on. It's nothing personal. :)
