This AO championship day last year, there were a lot of happy Nadal fans and devastated Federer fans. Leaving Melbourne, it looked to be the year of Nadal with talk of him pulling a calendar slam or 3 out of 4. Federer was done and for the taking.
This day last year none of us could have honestly predicted the way last season would play out: Nadal goes out early at FO, Federer wins FO, Nadal misses W because of injury, Fed v. Rod at W, epic W final, Del Potro storms back to win USO in five.
I've learned I don't know much anything about this game. I hestitate to make predictions on the year from this point on. Right now, I don't think calendar slam talk is legit for Fed. Too many great players out there. It would be great to see though.
Anyone willing to put predictions on the line?
