Only 10 players in the Open Era have won more total matches than Federer has at the Slams, WTF and Masters combined

Just calculated that Federer currently stands at 795(!!) match wins at the Majors, WTF and Masters 1000s. Only 10 players in the Open Era have won more than that at all levels and his closest rivals, Djokovic and Nadal, are way behind on 671 each.

Yet another example of the incredible consistency and longevity the Swiss Maestro has shown over the years. o_O

Nadal and Djokovic way behind? lol

They are 5 and 6 years younger than him respectively which means the difference 24.8 match wins per season over the next 5 years for Nadal 20.66 match wins per season over the next 6 years for Djoker. Now, considering that Nadal had 50 something match wins this season alone, Djokovic probably something similar, the gap really is not that wide and could close right up within a couple of seasons.

OP was being nice, ya know?

What you say may well prove to be true. But what Fedr accomplished did happen, while what you've noted 'may' happen, no? ;)

Impressive stat, but it is noteworthy that Rafa and Nole are 5/6 years younger than him so if we go by wins per/matches played, Djokodal are right up there with Fed in this department (Fed’s my fav player, but that’s my view from an objective standpoint).

Also worth noting is that the Big 3 are top 3 in matches won at the Slam level and Masters level. 250 and 500 is where Connors rules as king and where he makes up so much ground. I know Federer is called Vulterer but he cannot compare to Connors in this regard. Lol.
I know youre not directly calling Connors a vulture but to be fair to him, his hips were destroyed. It would be like if Andy Murray played 250s for the rest of his career and won dozens of titles. No small feat.

Eventually "Greatest" will be changed to "Most artistically exciting"

the 99% using Baseline Droning will rule the records soon enough

The most amazing thing is Connors spent mostly swinging into immortality
with a POS pancake sized wilson t series.
Fed should Wilson PJ a weighed up Prince Textreme 95 and regain his magic.
