Gulbis won the title last year, defeating Tsonga in the final. Will he retain his title?

Rosol loses again, he hasn't been in good form lately whilst the Stak has been playing rather well.

I hope Lukas finds some form.

Just watched the Monfils v Zverev. Nice second set. Monfils just turned up the burner to win the last three games UE crept up on Zverev at the end to allow the tie break, shame.and and get a breaker.

What a tie breaker! Both played great tennis - 14-12 to Monfils...what a final point! and the match!

Zverev one to watch!

Damn, I want to stay up and watch Simon's match.... Worst thing about watching tennis. Tournaments that are played in the early morning hours in your time zone...

Vanni got an SE and drew countryman Bolelli in 1R. From SA clay to Euro indoor HC might be much to adjust to on jet lag.

Nice lineup today in Marseille, starting with Thiem vs Goffin. Goffin has owned this new rivalry (4-0 in '14) but they've been close matches except for Thiem's debut on grass @Queens. Both have started '15 slower than expected but are rounding into form. I think it goes three, maybe Dominic getting his first win.

Raonic got broke by Simone bolelli and lost the first set. If raonic loses it would probably be the biggest upset in the history of tennis.

Great job, Simone!!

I don't hate Raonic, I've always liked Bolelli by the way.

Is Raonic starting to become very unclutch in tie-breaks? This is the 3rd one he's lost in the space of a week after losing 2 in succession to Stan in Rotterdam!

With his serve, tie-breaks are his traditional strength. He can't afford to keep getting beaten in them!

What is more puzzling is that 2 of the 3 tie breaks were not even close.

He would be mighty disappointed.

Is it just me or Simon's backhand seems improving ever so slightly even at this stage ?

I'm really impressed with certain aspects of Coric's game but his shot selection lets him down. He needs a world class coach and in a few years can become top 5 player easily.

Lol at Simon about to lose a set to coric. For a guy that relies on consistency in matches he's so inconsistent. Beats the murrays and delpos of the world and then struggles with 18 year olds.

Gimelstob now consultant in Raonic camp...Isner now 3-4 in '15 TBs.
