So he need another win at Shanghai to claim a lead in another title to make it 7. Maybe Murray will be back to full form there and we might get a Murderer final to get the final coronation of the best player in the 8th Masters of the season?
Well OP obviously count even Masters before 1990, because he has Lendl there. But yeah, since 1990 Murray leads.
And if I am not mistaken first time Masters become mandatory was 2009, before that anybody could skip them as he wanted. In 1990 they just created ATP world tour and Masters become part of it.
I am curious, what do you think Djokovic’s case is? (I ask this in full respect)

Wow. #MuryGOAT leads the four best players of the Open Era at an event. Was it even around in Sampras’ day?

I'd take that trade-off . Then We can have #7 AO next year too so RF Would be all time Wimbledon & Australian Open GOAT (Tied with Djoker @ AO just doesn't cut it , Sampras @ Wimbledon was first , mission accomplished . Next in line Djoker!) whilst 'only' being Open Era US Open GOAT too

I know Rafa hasn't won Miami, Paris, Shanghai (although he won this event when it was the Madrid indoors) or WTF
Fed I think still needs Rome & Monte Carlo
Djoker only needs Cincy for the full set - I can't believe he hasn't wont this on his pet surface after being to the final five times.
Seems like Djoker is most likely to get the full set.
