I bought a wood Jack Kramer racket out of curiosity. Now I am curious to know if there is a big difference with wood open throat rackets such as the Head Villas.

OT woodys do play different than mono shaft woodys.
The head vilas is a very unique playing racket since its head is slightly smaller than the standard woody so it is more demanding to play a big game with. I also thought the donnay borg pro was more demanding than a standard woody like the JK autograph since its head was slightly smaller. Most of the later OT woodys were midsize for the time and had an approx 20% larger head so offerred much more forgiving play with the larger sweetspot. They are all very fun to play, try em.
