Opinion on Blade 98

Would you say that Blade 98 18x20 black&white is more/less demanding than prestige IG mp?
Currently playing with APD but can't get control on demand as I can generate with 18x20.
Only downside is that second set with 18x20 my body power level is on the low side, where APD is helping a little bit.
Now I am looking to get the Blade, also I have offer for Radical G Pro but to me that one looks like APD with orange color, spec vise.

Yet it is.
But if what you need is just a bit more control, I would try the Wilson Pro Open before the Blade. It's got a thighter 16x19 pattern which is just as closed as the 18x20 on the Blade.

Thanks for the replays. I think that it would be good choice and with hybrid setup that it will have good power and control. I have tried the radical G pro, but the filling was stiff, maybe little better control than APD but on the same side.
I have loved my prestige IG, but when summer comes, 3th set, huh, it becomes heavy and without power....maybe with the Blade I will get somewhere in the middle.
Well I really tried to play with ''forgiving'' APD but as always I am missing that control, connection to the ball.
Ok, let's go with the blade and see what happens

Get the 2015, black and green. Not black and white.
I have traded my APD for Blade silver black, I will get it tomorrow so it is a done deal.
As I could see on TT there is multi threads with balance issues that Blade has or players have (HH thing), so....my leather grip is ready if needed... :)
I have always leaded up my radical at 3&9, so I don't expect to have that issue with swing weight......

Smart man. I've owned the Blade 2015, Prestige MP, and Blade BLX Black and Gold.

Blade 2015 is great and I sold it to buy my current DR98. Every once in a while I like hitting with my old BLX Blade and it's great also. I even think that it has better spin potential than the 2015 model, and I've heard that comment from other players as well. Just make sure you put a leather grip on it.

Both way easier to use and more powerful than the Prestige. I play with WeissCannon Black5Edge at 49.

I have had Yonex ai 98, sorry, I have had almost all racquets on the market, :) I have left only favorite ones, the rest are sold. Only Blade series I have never owed or play with it, so I am very eager to try it out. Tried and played with every model of prestige, PT57A, radicals.....my first serious racquet when I was a kid was Pro tour 630 in early 90', and that filling what racquet should feel like and play stayed in my head. Babolat and open string pattern never suited me well, I have filling that connection to the ball is always off,... , yeah, now I don't have body fit to play whole match with PT57A so... Maybe the Blade is the way to go, waiting for the weekend to come and find out....

I've heard that a new Blades were presented in Indian Wells. The colours are again green and black and it looks great, that's what a friend in Wilson said.

Really? Aren't they due in like 9 months though?
A friend of mine told me that his boss from Wilson was there. He said that new Blades are looking dangerous! He never told me something that in the end wasn't true,I belive he's correct now also. I hope so,cause I will look like some kind a fool here telling you this if it's not correct:confused:

I was there and did not see any new blade. It sounds incorrect, also because the "old one" is just one year old. Maybe you mean the new Burn FST? Or the Yonex Vcore Duel?

Kblade 98 was awesome.
Indeed! There's a reason why I named mine Excalibur. I still play with it because I prefer the thinner beam over the newer ones. I may need to take my black and gold one off the wall and giver her a spin just to see how she's doing.
