Opponent runs around forehand

Can I get some advice on how to play against someone who runs around his backhand to hit heavy forehands? What is the best strategy against this type of player? This is at the 4.5 level, i'm struggling against a player who hits heavy topspin to my backhand side. I have a one-hander and can slice and semi-drive, but it's difficult for me to dictate points from that side, especially off his heavy spin. I have a heavy topspin forehand, but if i'm forced to hit a backhand crosscourt during a rally I find myself playing defense against him because he will run around that ball and can take it either inside-out or down the line. how do i maintain control of the point or at least prevent him from getting a good look at a runaround forehand? going big to his forehand side to open up the backhand works, but if i'm unable to execute that before he runs around and hits his forehand then i get in trouble.

Try to open up the court by hitting some to his fh even though that's his strong side and then going to the bh. If he can still somehow run around the bh, you should have plenty of open court on his deuce side.
