options for long handle overgrips

I have a Yonex RDS001 '08, and tried my favorite, tacky Gamma Super Sport overgrip, but it fell short about an inch from the top. My local tennis shop said the only extra long overgrip for longbody racquets is the Tourna XL. There have got to be other options -- especially if I want tacky over absorbancy -- for the longer handles. Any enlightenment is much appreciated!

Hi Animate,

I use a Wilson Pro Staff 6.1 Oversize (110") Stretch (28") Racquet which has a Long Handle.

For on Overgrip I use the Wilson Pro Overgrip and with a slight overlap of the Overgrip (which is the way I like to wrap it) it is plenty long enough and in fact I cut the excess off.

I do beleive that Yonex Super Grap would work, but since I do not have any here with me I cannot verify that 100%.

Hope that helps,
John

just looked at the package i have to the yonnex supergrap (white), it says it's for standard and long racquets
however i dont think it's tacky enough like you mentioned, it does offer a great balance between tacky and absorbsion IMO
the overlap should be no more than 1/4"
here are the exact measurements listed on the package:
width:25mm / lenght:1200mm / thickness:0.6mm

Same Problem-XL racquet--Any Babolat Overgrips avail?

My daughter just bought an XL Wilson racquet that she is having a hard time finding a Babolat overgrip to fit--they run way to small in length. She has tried many others, but likes the Babolat..Anyone know if they make an extended overgrip..Not much around where we live so mostly I have to order online. Thanks.

Try stretching the overgrip tight, you won't need much overlap and with the Wilson Pro overgrip this should fit just about any grip length.
