When I order a racket here and choose the stringing and tension, am I correct in assuming the racket is delivered already strung?
Also, I just read a thread about racket "specs". I am ordering the same racket from tennis warehouse and getting one from my local club, does this mean (apart from stringing), that the racket from the club and the one ordered here will be different..?
The racquet you order from Tennis Warehouse will be strung with whatever you want it to be strung with, but it will probably cost extra money for the more "premium" strings.
Your two racquets will look the same, but (thanks to quality control in the great US) will probably have differences in specs. The best way to get similar racquets is to order them at the same time and hope the store/site gives you two racquets from the same batch.
Yeah, I specified strings from the list, so I hope it comes strung =D. And thanks for the info, do you think I will notice a difference between the racquets based on how different the specs are? Or is there not a huge difference?
Also, the racquet i ordered was a Wilson k6-1 Team which is 189.99, but when I track the order it says "RM3/Wilson Ksixone Team Racquets Mid+" and has the cost as "169.00", and with the strings which are 19.99(sale) the whole thing totals to 188.99, is there a mistake or was there an un-advertised sale on the racquet?
If you've been playing less then 5 years, you won't notice.
I wouldn't worry about it. Tennis Warehouse is one of the best out there for getting orders right.
Alright, thanks for your help man.
Mada, the rackets will probably be slightly off in terms of "specs". However, this difference is usually small enough that most people won't notice a difference. Keep in mind however that different strings change the "specs" of a racket, in that different strings weigh different amounts.
About that price, don't worry about it. TW has rarely messed up in its orders, and when it does, you can bet money on the great customer service TW will provide you with. However, I don't think there's an unannounced sale.
