Original Prince Graphite OS

Does anyone know if and when the original Prince graphite was made without grommets? Just bought one used on **** and it has no grommets or bumper guard and I need info on how to string it. (Placement of tubes and leather ect.)

The very first POG was without the grommet. I think it was made around '79 to '80.

No, I've read that the first version (the one that came with a full-length suede bag) had cork inside its handle to reduce vibration.

I have 2 with full size bags. 110 is written on the top of the frame. I think these are the second model available. Don't know if the earlier one came with this kind of bag. I'm tempted to regrip one just to see.
