Outseam measurements on shorts

TW, noticed on the new BB shorts you also listed the outseam measurement. Can i urge you to do this for all new shorts you add to your product line? Using only inseams makes it tricky to gauge how far down a short leg will fall because of the rise of the fly... but the outseam is always the same, distance from waist to the end of the leg... It's much more useful to me because I can compare it to the shorts I have now, and I'll know roughly if they'll be shorter or longer. So thumbs up for the outseam measurement...

I second that! I have two pairs of shorts that are advertised as 9 inch inseams, however one is a lot longer than the other and one fits like it has 7 inch inseams. I've measured, both have 9 inch inseams, just different outseams.

Another example: I have the Nadal 3/4 pants and the Wreck Havok Shorts. There is 13 inch inseams on the Wreck Havoc Shorts and 20 inseams on the 3/4 pants... but the shorts are just an inch shorter (outseam) than the 2/4 pants.

In conclusion, the outseam measurements help a lot.

The outseam is not always the same - it changes for every size. The inseam remains constant throughout sizes. For larger sizes, length is added to the short between the crotch and the waistband - increasing the outseam length, but having no change to inseam length. To provide an accurate outseam length we would have to measure every size and list the lengths individually.
