Indian Wells, Calif., March 10, 2006 – The Pacific Life Open, in
partnership with Tennis Properties Limited (TPL), is set to enhance
each fan's tournament experience with the introduction of
www.Pacificlifeopen.tv - a new, high quality, broadband TV service
that will deliver the tournament straight to their desktop.

When fans log onto www.Pacificlifeopen.tv they will be able to see all
the tournament action from the first round through to the finals with
near live video highlights of every match, a roundup show of all the
day's action, real-time point-by-point scores, exclusive on-court and
locker room player interviews, post match press conferences, behind
the scenes feature stories and classic matches from previous years.

To celebrate the launch of this great new service the Pacific Life
Open and TPL will offer 100% free access for the entire duration of
the tournament!

"This is a significant breakthrough in the world of tennis," said
Pacific Life Open Tournament Chairman Charlie Pasarell. "This service
will improve the tournament experience for tennis fans both here in
the desert and around the world. I believe this will change the way
that people follow the game."

www.Pacificlifeopen.tv is a channel on www.atpmastersseries.tv, the
new subscription broadband service for the ATP Masters Series. In
addition to the action in Indian Wells, tennis fans will be able to
access all the passion, power and personality of the game's greatest
athletes at all nine ATP Masters Series tournaments and the year-end
Tennis Masters Cup in Shanghai.

"The ATP is committed to making our players, as the stars of the show,
more accessible, to bring their many different personalities to life
and to deliver them to more households. This exciting new service
will help us do just that," said Etienne de Villiers, Chairman of the
ATP Tour. "Not only will it allow existing tennis fans the freedom to
choose how they access and enjoy our events, but it will also open up
tennis to a totally new audience of all ages in many, many countries."

"Modern technology is dramatically changing the way sport is consumed,
and the atpmastersseries.tv service is on the very cutting edge that
will provide tennis fans with a unique new service," said Mark
Webster, Chief Executive of Tennis Properties Ltd (TPL).

Sounds too good to be true....I'll have to check it out. Maybe I'll get a T1 installed in my house.

You have to wait awhile for the match to load. Just press the play button and let it sit for about 5 mins. Sooner or later it will start playing, and then it will stop a min into it or so and just let it sit again. Hopefully they will fix this soon though.

They are going to start charging for it once they build the subscribers base. Enjoying it while it lasts...

This is awesome, I've spent some time in the archives and you can watch coria, ferrero, and Nalbandian when they were still at the top of their games

It's a good idea and a commitment to bringing innovations to the sport. But yea, I wonder how much they're gonna charge for it, and how many people will subscribe -- which will dictate if they can keep it going. Since the matches aren't live, those of us watching pulled streams off of real live tv probably won't find it worth it unless it's really really cheap and the quality is really good.

This is obviously an offering for hardcore fans, of which there aren't many to begin with. But, it's a cool idea to bring ppl in and to increase interest in tennis.

Will be interesting to see how this unfolds.

I'm not willing to pay for anything that I've seen at that site so far. Its been a bit of a problem and they need to clean it up before they charge for it.
