Pain/Discomfort around prostate area. Can it be from tennis? Has anyone experienced it?

I know groin pain can be caused from tennis affecting the inner thigh muscles for one.
But ive been feeling lots of discomfort, which comes and goes at the deep inner thigh area where it meets the groin on both sides (think where the strands on underwear are when worn, and in between. (In between meaning, the area between the anu* and the scrotu*.)
Can playing tennis affect this area too?

Very worried.
I've seen two doctors and the first one said it could "maybe" be from my inguinal hernia and simply dismissed it.
The other doctor isn't too sure but has sent me to get an ultrasound done on my prostate (and possibly the area around it, but not too sure) next week.

Neither of these are sports doctors either. I'm hoping that if the cause is from tennis then its nothing too big to worry about and they have simply not considered it.

Did they run a PSA test, and/or a manual prostate exam--yes, the very unpleasant test by the Dr. when he feels the size and texture of the prostate? It's good you are seeing a Dr. about this.

Neither of the two so far. May request if my ultrasound comes back with nothing and still lingers.
Thanks for the ideas
