Painful arm with Yonex RDis 100 Mid

Hey people, I need help. I am a really big fan of Yonex racquets. I started with rdx 500 but kinda wanted some more power. Switched to RDiS 100 Mid which is great, but my arm started hurting after a while. I want a racquet which is very similar to RDiS 100 Mid, but a little easier on the arm. Should I go with RDiS 100 Mid + or RDiS 200 Midplus? Unfortunately I don't have the chance to demo them here in Croatia. Thanx in advance. :)

Either one you should be fine with.
Next year they will have some new rackets and the mid may a little more arm friendly.
But it may just as well be your technique,if not, the high tension combination with stiff string.
I didn;t think that racket was that stiff, but I liked the RDS 001 mid bettern than RDX 500 and RDiS 100.

Well, I string my racquet to 23 kg, so it's very low string tension. And I have changed several different racquets, my arm started hurting only with RDiS, so I guess that changing the racquet is more logical than changing my technique. I kinda thought that they are pretty similar, but is there anybody who actually played with both of them and can give me some guidelines?

Coming from the RDX500 Mid (or MP, or even HD, for that matter), the arm issues are certainly understandable. My best advice would be to go with the 200 MP. It is, in many ways, similar to the RDX500 MP--it's got that same distinct buttery feel--and is very easy on the arm. It clearly outshined the RDiS 100 MP in my mind; the latter almost felt mushy, for lack of a better word, in comparison.

I wanted the RDiS Mid at first, but ended up with the RDiS 100 MP due to posts commenting about arm problems. The RDiS 100 MP actually hurt my arm, so I gave up on it and played with Babolat for awhile. Got my hands on a Mid demo and have never looked back. Plays great and no arm issues at all. I do string it in the low 50's (52 lbs).

I've had elbow problems with some racquets, but I have not had any pain since switching to Yonex RDiS100mid. If you want something similar to the way the 100mid plays, you should wait for the new line to come out; a replacement for the 100 should be coming soon.
The 100MP is also stiff, and the 200 does not play anything like the 100mid.
But until then, I think you should try a softer string, either a soft multifilament or a very soft poly. I play with Polystar Turbo, which is nice and soft.

i use 100 mid. The only way i got my arm pain was by using poly and when i was trying to bash the ball head-on (when my technique was not as good as now).
I am using syngut @59lbs now. No more arm problem.

as dekko1 said, try multi or perhaps nat gut.

I switched from the RDS 001 Mid to the RDiS 100 Mid+ for this very reason. So far I'm very happy and haven't experienced any arm problems. The RDiS 100 Mid+ is much more forgiving and better about dampening vibration.

I did demo the RDiS 200 and found it to be very powerful... Not as solid of a stick as the 100 though.

Lastly, as others have mentioned - technique and string material/tension must be taken into consideration. What kind of strings are you using?
