Pallets on non-pallet racquet?

I have a Pro Staff Tour 90 that has a couple of chunks gone out of the pallet - I received it that way. Normally I'd be ok with it but one missing chunk is right where I would hold on a slice backhand and I only play with 2 overgrips so it's a slight annoyance.

I noticed that the pallet is the foamy-mold type and not removable set of pallets like on older wilson racquets.

My question is - if I was able to remove the foam pallet from the racquet, would there be anything from stopping me if I wanted to put normal wilson grip pallets on it? Anybody removed the foam mold pallet before? It looks like it would be kinda difficult, but possible.

It would be hard to get off. Its not a pallet. Its and handle mold so you would have to shave it down all the way most likely.

I forgot to ask my other question:

If I want to just fill in the pallet holes with something - what is a suitable substance? Ideally I'd like to use something that would be of the same density, weight, and something that can harden and be sanded down to be the correct shape. Any ideas?

It's just an idea–I've never tried this–but perhaps wood filler, or some other repair compound, would be close enough to the handle's consistency that you wouldn't notice it under the grip?

I'm wondering if just squirting some caulk into the holes would work? That wouldn't add too much weight would it?
