Leading neurologists say evidence linking paraquat with Parkinson's disease is 'very strong', and they want it banned

Dozens of neurologists are calling on the Australian chemicals regulator to ban paraquat, a toxic herbicide that has been linked to the development of Parkinson's disease.

Pesticides were being linked to Parkinson's more than 40 years ago. Many of then are neurotoxins, and there were data in the 1980s showing a higher incidence of Parkinson's in farm states in the USA.
