Only 3 Big 3 match-ups in Paris and at high distances between meetings: Djokodal in 2009, Fedovic in 2013 and Fedovic again in 2018.Djokovic has won it more times than any other player: 2009,2013,2014,2015,2019 and made 1 other final: 2018.
Nadal made 1 final in 2007 which he lost, Federer made 1 final in 2011 which he won.
LOL ! I'm inclined to think the same. This is kind of blasphemous in this lands I suppose.Tbh the level was sky high first two set’s and I keep thinking to myself that these players will eventually take tennis to a new level. Maybe they will not break the records but their level of tennis will be the highest ever in a couple of years just because that’s how sports works.
The weakness of this generation is consistency. They’re all guilty as charged. In Zverev’s defense though, I think the match against Nadal must have taken its toll on him physically and mentally.Zverev came out serving like a boss, then Medvedev stepped in more, started being more aggressive, and taking it to him, and Zverev slowly crumbled. Further credit to one, who once again displays his tendency to problem solve in the middle of a match, pretty damning for the other, who once again seems not up to the task under increasing pressure.
Cilic?I didn’t have any interest in watching it since I don’t like the tennis aesthetics and the personalities of both players. If they are going to be two of the stars of the future, the entertainment potential of tennis for me will be much reduced and I wonder how many other fans there are like me. Probably the first Masters final I haven’t watched in many years when I wasn’t even busy with work or family.
Apart from the Big 3, I’ll watch matches with Murray, Wawrinka, Thiem, Cilic, Monfils, Tsitsipas, Rublev, Sinner, Ruud, Shapo, Kyrgios (root against him), Schwartzman etc., but these two (and some tall servebots) just don’t entertain me with both their personalities and styles.
