This is the match I am thinking is 70% likely to determine who makes it to Shanghai. Robredo "could" make it, but I am thinking there is a good chance Baggy takes him, which would 95% likely give it to the winner of this match automaticaly. I dont see Berdych beating Federer (or Nalbandian) in the next round, even if came back vs Ferrer today. I dont see Youzhny winning the tournament which he would have to. I dont see Haas making the semis with Youzhny and Nadal to beat.
 
After watching the slop of Davydenko-Baghdatis today (where the chair umpire even made fun of Davydenko's effort level), Federer-Nalbandian today, and Djokovic-Santoro yesterday, I am looking forward to this match. I think it could be a really good match and I am definitely going to watch it. The most exciting thing as I said on another thread is the final Masters Cup spot is likely up for grabs.
 
Gasquet looks like to be the most that Murray will be challenged in this tournament so far, but it seems that Murray can step up his playing level if playing under pressured. Picking Murray in 3.
 
Winner goes to Shanghai. Loser also goes (as an alternate).

Murray played too soft in the opene. Hopefully he can put some of his big shots into play in the next couple of sets. I had the feeling he was just trying to make Gasquet play the ball in the 1st, to see if he was nervous. Now that Gasquet doesnt seeem so Murray must start going for a few more winners and put some pressure on. He is definitely capable of it. Come on Murray!!!!
 
"Blown Gasket" exhibit #1 - - - trying to lob Murray as he (Murray) was camped out on the baseline.
 
OKey I got a qestion. what is the significance of this match regarding to Shanghigh. If gasquet wins does he go to Shanghigh? what about murry. what does he have to do to go to shanghigh?

The winner goes to Shanghai. Unless Baggy wins the whole thing then he goes but i'm not certain about that. So they are pretty much playing for Shanghai

This set is going to be interesting i think. Looks like theyve both got their dodgy play out of the way and it could be steady holds of serve from now. Until one cracks or the other has another mental lapse right at the last minute.
 
I don't like the way he looks and I don't like the way he plays. O by the way how the hell did ganzo qualify for shanghai. This kid hardlydone anything after the aussie open.

I was almost right. There have been steady holds of serve but Murray managed to throw in a rubbish service game eary on! Looks like that mental lapse is going to cost him. Gasquet serves for it at 5-4
 
****!!!!!!!!!!!! Cant believe Murray lost! He has so much talent but these 'career definining matches' that he keeps losing makes me wonder where his career is going. He's played well but lost to Nadal twice and now a match that he was definitely capable of winning and he loses it
 
Two poor games cost him the match, 1 in the first set and 1 in the 3rd. Seems unfair that Murray loses when Gasquet pretty much had poor whole second set.

no you know i can't do that... especially as gasquet has his destiny between his hands !
if he beats nalbandian he'll go in china... if not, it will depend on marcos.

and anyway, i don't know which one is my favorite between marcos and richard. :)

by the way, i noticed that murray has a really poor record against young guns:
0-2 against richard
0-2 against marcos
0-3 against djokovic
0-2 against nadal

Yeah no kidding. He made the final of Rome Masters against Nadal after that Aussie final. He did however win his lone title this year in Beijing vs Robredo. So he hasn't done much outside of Aussie Open but he apparently did enough to qualify. 1 title and 2 runner ups this year.
 
Hey, Murray has a crap record against the top players doesn't he? I think he only has a good record against Roddick. But that's not saying much is it? One thing he's not is a big match player.
