Pathetic display of tennis from Fish

Anyone watching this match? He could let me take his place and I could probably do just as well as he's doing.

Can't say I'm surprised. Gulbis/Nieminen should have been on Center Court from the start, pretty good match that one.

No, Gulbis-Jarrko seemed an obvious choice. Young Ernest must be the most impatient guy on the tour, but he took the tiebreak nevertheless.

What is up with Fish?

I went with the bold pick of Gulbis on my fantasy team even after him folding like a bad poker hand last week. Hope he doesn't let me down.

Gulbis should get by Nieminen in straights, but I'd be surprised if he beats Wawrinka. Stan has been too solid this year.

Yeah, I even went with Gulbis over Stan in my bracket challenge. I think he's gonna learn from his ignominious defeat last week and make it to at least the quarters. Federer screwed me last week and now I have only 2 times left to choose him. I couldn't go with him this week as I wanted to save him for either Madrid or Paris.

Lucky you, Wawrinka dropped out so now I have Clement making the quarters :). Gulbis has a great shot now.

Hahaha, well I guess I am lucky. I guess that insider tip I got paid off this time. ;) Well I think he probably would have beaten Stan anyways. My bracket is in trouble now that Lopez and Gonzo lost. Hopefully I can stay towards the top.

"Insider tip" huh? More like you got someone to take Stan down to Over the Rhine (shady Cincy area) and took care of securing your bracket there :). My only loss so far if Youzhny, but I had Berdych making the final. So unless that works out I'm screwed anyway haha.

most of the u.s. men's contingent seems to be underperforming....with the exception of maybe Blake....he seems to at least make a sincere effort

huh? did you see the Toronto match? pitiful.
True, but just prior to that last match which was a quarterfinal v. Kiefer he had beaten Tursonov and Bjorkman to get to the quarters; and prior to that he made it to the semis in Indy.

I dunno....but IMO he's doing make a good faith effort compared to the rest of the American male players who behave like 12 year olds on the court when they lose....kind of reminiscent of the Donald Young match last night.
