PC to Cell Phone Music Transferring?

So I'm due for a new Verizon Wireless phone. I want one that will allow me to transfer music files to my phone from my PC and play them. I do not care about Verizon's cute little VCast music service that's overpriced and not needed since I already have the music I want on my computer.

So my question is-- can all VCast phones have music transferred to them from the computer? Or is it only some?

I was looking into the Samsung u540, but I'm not sure if its music capabilities include PC to cell phone...

And from there I'll have to pay $50 more for the new LG VX8350, which I know can have music transferred to it from a PC.

Any help from the cell phone gurus?

Only the second one has an external flash drive that you can put music on. The VX8350. It's a MicroSD. It's small, but they make MicroSD-to-SD adapters that fit into some computer desktops/laptops. Otherwise you may need a card reader for you computer. BUT, it says that it is USB compatible, meaning it might just hook right up to the computer.

The first one seems to be missing all of that, and feature no external drive. It is actually reported to have very little hard-memory, to boot.

About those micro cards, my Razr has one and it came with an adapter that would fit standard computer card slots. And if you don't have one of those, for like 10 bucks they have USB card readers that let you stick a card in and connect it to a USB drive.

I just got a new Samsung slide phone (two actually, it was a deal that week). I went to Office Depot and got a generic micro SD card that came with the adapter. I put it into my USB card reader, plugged it into my desktop and copy/pasted songs and photos onto it. Voila, identifiable ringtones and photos for certain callers.

You can make your own ringtones here and save yourself the $2 or whatever it costs to buy them.

If I can do it, anyone can do it.

I just upgraded my old phone to the Motorola KRZR K1M from Verizon and is very easy to tranfer music from your pc to the your cell, all you needs is the MicroSD card, adapter and a card reader.

First turn off you phone insert the MicroSD card then turn on your phone, the phone will format the MicroSD card, then remove it and insert into the adapter then connect the card reader to your USB, click on my computer and find that drive, open up you can see there are four folders, open up my_music folder and start transfer your music. After you done insert the MicroSD card back to the phone and start enjoy your music. Keep in mind this step for Verizon Wireless service I am not sure about the others.

If you have a computer with Bluetooth that is by far the easiest thing to do. I have an HP laptop with it and a Blackberry Curve, man it is so easy. You can send videos, pics, and music to your phone or from your phone to your computer.
