PD vs PD GT vs PD 2012

I have the first Pure drive and i like it, but i was wondering what the difference is between the old pure drive, Pure Drive GT and the 2012 pure drive. Would it be an upgrade to buy the newer versions of the PD. Thank You

I upgraded to the PD2012 from the old Pure Drive Team circa 2003. The PD2012 killed my arm... it's a great racquet, but waaay too stiff.

The PD2012 would be a better racquet than its predecessors if it wasn't an ergonomic failure. I would suggest not wasting your money and wait until they release a more arm friendly version.

Let's remember that "ergonomic failure" and similar are HIGHLY individual and subjective, depending on type of string, length between restringing and user skill level...
in my experience ranging from 2nd gen swirly all the way to 2012 version including all aero pro versions only 2012 pure drive gives me no discomfort whatsoever with close second being modified aeropro gt plus.

I have hit with the last three generations of PDs and here is my opinion

PD Cortex: the most lively of the three with the most raw feel. IMO the most powerful of the 3 gens.
PD GT: the most muted of the 3 with the least feel (overall I hated this generation, with exception of the PJ)
PD 2012: overall my favorite PD yet. Stock weight is a great base for customization, feel is lively enough to give decent feel, yet muted enough to be easy on the arm (relatively considering the stiffness) without making the racket feel numb

I would argue that PDT+ (pure drive team plus) was stronger than cortex/GT. I acutally felt PD 2012 was the most powerful of the lot.
