Peak Djokovic Vs Peak Alcaraz

If Novak, way pas his prime, can beat Carlos, early in his prime, like he’s done the past 12 months, prime Novak would obliterate him

Peak Djokovic vs Peak Alcaraz – Hypothetical 10-Match Series on Each Surface:

Grass: 5–5

Clay: 6–4 or 7–3 Djokovic

Hard: 8–2 or 9–1 Djokovic

Overall Score (Worst Case): 19–11 in favor of Peak Djokovic.

Look at prime Djoko vs prime Murray, then consider Carlos is yet to reach the level at which Murray beat Novak twice in Slams. There you have the answer. 0 wins out of 10 based on the level shown so far.

It would be very one sided on HCs, closer on clay and grass, but at most he would probably push Novak to 5 sets once or twice.

0-2 in Wimbledon finals.

No excuses.

1st run, it was one of his best years ever reach all 4 grand slam finals and won 3 but was out clutched and outplayed overall.

The 2nd run he didn't drop a set until the final but was pummelled more than Bonnie blues gammon.

How can he destroy 22 y/o Nole if he can hardly beat current Nole
Like all older players Novak has had added a lot of dimensions to his game over the years.

The serve for example, Novak improved enormously in that area under Becker's tutelage and became a player who could serve big in all corners and then follow through at the net.

He was always capable of doing it, it just took a bit of coaching to do it at a GOAT level.

All credit to Novak, his wins over Carlos in Cincinnati 2023 and last year's olympic final were extraordinary, but they were very much cases where experience won the day.

Basically, putting side my jokey comments above, the answer as always is "dunno".
