This is an interesting matchup. Med probably wins the serve-return complex, but Murray has the right toolbox to expose the holes in Med's game.

On a fast HC, this could be a coinflip matchup. On slower HCs, Murray probably has a clear advantage.

Let's take their peak versions at the current age of Medvedev. Both defeated Djokovic at the USO to win their first slam - Murray beat peak Djokovic but Medvedev probably the mentally strongest version of Novak. Both also reached the Aus Open final immediately afterwards.

Looking at their hard court stats :
Murray has more titles, more slam finals but Med reached a higher year end ranking and has a claim to be the best hardcourt player of his generation.

Who wins peak to peak - Match is played on an outdoor hard court.
