I have had a Pro's Pro TX-500N for almost 15 years and it has been great, and survived a lot of moving around! However, whilst the tension head is still great, other parts are starting to fail - base bearings/bushings, clamps, swivel base and replacing them all would add up. I was looking at new machines (Pro's Pro Tomcat most liklely) but came across the Penta Premium 3600 - initially paired with a Wise tension head, but saw without too.
My question is therefore, would I be able to attach my existing tension head to the Penta? It would be about the same price as replacing parts, more convenient, and probably better quality.
