Penta Premium Stringer 3600 Manual

Hello,

I'm planning to purchase my first ever stringing machine which would not cost too much. Do you have any experience with Penta PS 3600 Manual? It doesn't cost much and I read some nice opinions about it. Btw- is there a big difference between manual tension set and electronic?

I bought it. seems very well made. I have to adjust the clamps to not get (that much) ghosting on multi, but that's lack of experience. the gripper also ghosts the strings (so it grips well), but if they are not deep in the gripper ghosting is almost gone. I suggest you stick to the manual tension : that way you don't have to handle electronics calibration (and you save money). AND, since I use only multi, I have to wait for it to stretch so with the drop weight you're not tempted to try to string faster and faster ... you just wait for gravity to adjust things

So did I yesterday, but it will be delievered up to two weeks. Is it your first machine? Do you recommend any vidoes where I could learn how to string with that machine (I couldn’t find any). Would be grateful.

There are 2 sides to the cylinder on the bar. You want to make sure that the ref tension you want has its arrow aligned with the marking on the scale and that the arrow is on the side closest to the frame. If the weight is put on backwards, the arrow will be on the side furthest from the frame and you will not be pulling ref tension.

sorry. It's a sticker with an arrow, glued on the weight. coupled with graduations on the rod, the arrow indicates the tension you put in the strings. If you mount the weight reverse (and be cautious because the manual in some revisions is erroneous), then the tension you put on the strings is way OFF.

I’ll probably just send you a photo to make sure I’m doing fine - I’m going to get the machine tomorrow.
I have a question where I should start stringing with my Clash 100?

look at this pic (and in the manual provided, I have those pics) :

you can see the green sticker on the weight indicating what tension you select (you read the tension on the bar, pointed by the green arrow on the sticker)............. and this is exactly how you MISS mount it. with the bar in vertical position like here, the sticker must be facing down. This mounting in the picture is incorrect, just mount the weight the opposite way.

edit : for the clash 100, I don't know I don't have it. Better watch lots of videos to understand, the rackets start naturally from the head or the tail. If you string incorrectly, you should see that the strings don't go where they are supposed to, in the bridge of the racket (usually the strings have some guides there).
