I know, I know ... TTC's "Center Court" program, hosted by Chris Myers, gets repetitive after awhile, what with multiple showings of Maggie Maleeva, Chanda Rubin - well, it gets old.
With no fanfare that I saw prior, I channelsurfed yesterday to the Sampras "CC" program! Excellent, well-spoken appearance by Pete, with many insights into his now-concluded pro life.
Incredibly, Myers asked Pete about his using one racket his entire career. Pete talked about using his PS since he was 14, never wanting to change while trying "many others" over the years. He also talked about, with Myers' prompting, buying out Wilson's remaining stock of about 200 frames made in "Saint Vincent." He had been informed that factory was closing, the last remainders were shipped to Chicago, and he got 'em all.
Sure, nothing we haven't heard before, but I've never seen Pete talk about it. Watch for this program, recommended.
