My feeling is that Federer often struggles against Simon. Look at these scores.

2008 Tennis Masters Cup 11 Hard Gilles Simon Roger Federer 4-6 6-4 6-3
2008 Canada R32 Hard Gilles Simon Roger Federer 2-6 7-5 6-4

Simon gave Berdych a hammering. I pick Federer to win in 5 sets.

Fed in 4. Simon is having his best Grass season this year, but Roger will be too much for him I'm expecting. Maybe even Roger in 3 if he's returning well.

Federer in 3 competitive sets. They are both in good forms and this match may be the test Federer needs to toughen up a bit for later stages.

Fed with a break in each set (3). It will be interesting how he does this year after spending the past 2 finding a racket.

He has only lost 1 set so far, looking good.

So far, Roger hasn't lost a set on grass this year so Gilles will have to play a very good match indeed if he is going to be able to rectify that but there is no doubt Roger will win!

Lost one against Sam Groth.

On topic- Federer in 3.

Fedz in three sets.

He needs to be recovered before the Andy semifinal. He can't be having a tough match on Wednesday of the second week. @chjtennis

The quicker the match finishes, the better it will be for Fed. He will get plenty of hitting practice though. Perfect preparation for Murray match if it finishes in 3, less than 2 hours.

Fed's gotta look out here. Simon and him have always had tight matches, I can see this going 4 or to the distance. Fed obviously the fav, but not by much.
