Let's see if anyone can guess all 8 matches correctly. I'll go first.

Federer over Berdych (3 sets)
Ancic over Djokovic (5 sets)
Verdasco over Stephanek (4 sets)
Bjorkman over Mirnyi (4 sets)
Hewitt over Ferrer (3 sets)
Baghdatis over Murray (5 sets)
Tursunov over Nieminen (5 sets)
Nadal over Labadze (4 sets)

10 points for getting a match right, 5 extra points if you also guess the correct number of sets. If you get all 8 right, you get 50 bonus points. If you get all 8 matches and number of sets right, you are god and don't need any more bonus points!

You should do one for the womens round of 16 too.
Thing is I am not interested in women's tennis and have no idea what is going on in that tournament. BTW, way to pick almost completely opposite of me! At least I know now that my picks will be accurate. 8)

Pretty good picks malakas, except for Mirnyi that is!

Fed - Berdych .... Fed won't lose this round

Djokovic - Ancic ... Ancic

Stepanek - Verdasco -- If Verdasco doesn't choke he should win; better all around game. I wouldn't bet on this match as neither guy has shown great mental fortitude historically... Toss up!

Bjorkman - Miryni -- betting on Jonas' return game

Hewitt over Ferrer -- too solid

Murray over Baghdatis -- Marcos' health is in big question.

Nieminen over Tursunov -- Nieminen is very steady; the kind of guy who can give Dmitry fits

Nadal over Labadze -- this one may be over pretty quick. Labadze serves great but way too slow to trouble Nadal in return game.

I'm just going to tell it like it is here guys. :)

Top half:

Fedi over Berdych in 4,
The Djoker will give Ancic fits, but Mario will move on, 13-11 in the fifth.
Radek will make the short volleys and beat Verdasco in five.
Bjorkman will get yet another win over his dubs partner. Four quick ones.

Bottom half:

Hewitt will tune Ferrer in straights.
Baghdatis and Murray will simultaneously retire at the beginning of the fifth. Unless they get a late start and the match is spread over two days. In that case, Murray in 5.
Dimitry over Jarkko in four.
Nadal over Freakshow in 2 sets. Yes, 6-4, 6-0, ret.

All Monday, right? Looking forward to it! :)

Federer-
Ancic-
Verdasco
Mirnyi-
Hewitt- He always beats the lesser player, almost.
Baghdatis- Will beat down Murray's serve, and impose his own.
Tursunov- If you can push Nalbandian on clay, you can smoke this guy.
Nadal- Too easy. Labadze doesn't have the stamina.

Lol, I guess in that case I will have to establish a new tiebreaker if 2 people make exactly the same picks and finish on top. If that happens, the person who made the picks first wins!

On another note, since the matches have started, it is too late for anyone else to join in the competition.

Okay, so with all eight results in...it was:

Federer in 3,
Ancic in 5,
Stepanek in 5,
Bjorkman in 5,
Hewitt in 4,
Baghdatis in 3,
Nieminen in 5,
Nadal in 3.

Steve, do the honors.

And all of the above is a clear illustration that (thank god) not all results can be foretold. Did anyone pick Bhagdatis to win so easily? How many picked Bjorkman and Nieminen?

^ 4 guys got the Bjorkman/Nieminen parlay.
Guernica, peter, jackromeo and rfprse.

some got 4 or 5 right. a few of us got 6.
Only peter, jackromeo and rfprse got 7 correct.
nobody got all 8 right.

Well, it looks like Peter and Jack Romeo tied for the win with 80 points. Max G comes in 3nd with 75 and me, slice bh compliment, straight sets, rfprse, and that guy that picked exactly as me got 70.

Federerhoogenbandfan finished last with 45 points. 8)
