Thanks Zara. Ok so nature is always pretty like yours pics 1, 3,4. I don't find 2 or 5 any interesting. But of course beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. Thank you for explaining. I understand now.
I don't think these pictures are only about beauty. Picture 2 is about colour contrast. This is rust on an old trunk that has created this colour contrast.

Picture 5 is an ordinary subject otherwise but the sharp light has given it a certain character. It's a lot about curiosity too. You simply didn't like it whereas I got rather curious.

A picture doesn't always attract everyone. Sometimes they are aimed to please a certain audience.

Btw, I'll be taking a short leave for a few weeks and will come back after the AO. Richie decided to go away for a few months too so I am not sure what's that about. Either he's upset with me or just pulling my legs. Dunno. I do need a break as I promised myself to stay away for a bit and regroup. Feeling a bit overwhelmed lately too. Even staying away a few days will help me a great deal.

Richie!
Thats not good, two posters i like in a single day.

I was going to ask you in pm if your first name begins with V and ends with E.

Oh.

Oh, ah.

Haha the post was flying under the radar! Thank you but since it's on public viewing, I'd rather have it removed now :)

I did not think anyone would notice to be honest. Peculiar in what way?
Your discomfort with attention. I had a feeling you would change your mind the instant someone made it about you. When I was fooling around with that picture in the post image instruction message I lopped off your head, borrowing from Zara:

And you get the security of not only knowing your picture will be visible to all for the rest of eternity or until judgement day, but also that this stubborn donkey cannot be satisfied until he's made every effort possible:

Your picture on https://postimages.org

So that's it. 8 short and simple steps for a lifetime of freedom. And you support the small companies. If you like, we can also probably throw in saving harmful CO2 emissions, because Google as we all know is one of the most evil companies when it comes to emissions. I'm sure there are ancillary benefits, knowing you won't need to be a folder with the subtext GRRRRRRRRR on a server perhaps? Surely that must have some value, no?
Perhaps you and her together go on to achieve internet infamy for headless pictures? Why not? A pair of jibber-jabbering lmho’s.

Yes, you kind of understand me, so how is that peculiar? It is just me being me, just like Zara is being Zara. She is far more guarded about privacy than me and I respect that.

You naughty guy, you. You knew that I had posted my picture all along!

Ok here are a few more pictures. These were taken as part of my trips outside of my stay with the family. These included short treks, riding in shared vehicles etc.

Prayer flags are really everywhere. When I was passing through this exact place, it started snowing, the first snow of the year.

PS - I used postimages.

Scanning some of this thread....

Noticing the following...

All three are magnetising photos.

The second photo has a beautiful, fantastical feel to it. The textures and colours are fascinating.

The third photo is a great capture into the soul of a child.

The first photo is perhaps my favourite, especially with that subtle transition of darkness to lightness from bottom to top.

Quite splendid captures.

I couldn’t agree with you more NN. All of them are outstanding. If I were forced to choose, absolutely forced to, I’d go with the first one as well.

Wow! I get light-headed at Lake Tahoe. Marat Safin lost his breath before getting that high on Cho Oyu.
I tried to recall something - a hymn I know well. I have been saying it for years. I couldn't recall it there. The brain needs oxygen and what is astonishing to me is this is the path on the silk route. Traders would have yak and mule travel along these routes for carrying silk and spices during the medieval times. In the first picture, the sun is actually rising from the borders of Tibet and Bhutan.

Just be careful not to run into guys like these. This is Safin's Cho Oyu crew. For some reason, the photo makes me laugh. I don't think Marat's cigarettes {visible in a different shot) helped him breathe the thin air.
