WHAT? Why would I direct this to you or Azure? In all honestly, I am not really paying attention to your conversation with Azure as it's not interesting me much. And I've been looking for Chad for a few days now. lol

But I do have the tendency to talk about something completely out of the blue. That's just how my mind works.
P.S.
You and Azure are both completely and absolutely uninteresting for missing my raison d'être.

Pfffft
Not at all.

If anything, it’s too little.

Tsitsipas doesn't appeal to me much but I did feel sorry for him after he lost to Zed at the City Open (especially after he went back and banged on his head for a while out of frustrations) and I wished him really well. After that he went on to beat Zed at Rogers (the match I really wanted to see live) and lost to Nadal in the final.

So while he's really not my cup of tea, I do appreciate the fact that he is doing well and one of the members of the NextGen. In other words, he is good for tennis.

Another snow day today followed by a set of beautiful flower arrangement on the path of downtown Toronto (underground as in). I enjoy contrasts.

Lmho! Aren't you extra polite today?

I like you, Zara. There's no lying in you.

I was only messing about. haha That's my usual response. I just remember when you said you only came back here for me. Yeah, I know it was a joke, but nice to know there is no pressure now. Less chance of stray piece of fence wood catching me.

I didn't come back for you only, you doofus but you were part of the reason. I came back to have some fun. Fun with people I really like and you are one of them. Chad makes me happy so I included him too.

I can never create any pressure on anyone so am sorry that you felt that way. As you can see, I come and go as I please with no expectations or whatsoever. I don't feel obligated and no one needs to feel obligated by me either.

Wish Chad was back. This place is dull without him. He is more authentic and far from pretentious. Quickly becoming my No. 1 favourite poster.
????

Who is this directed at? I hope you aren’t talking about me or Azure here? That would quite jarring given all the time we’ve spent babbling to one another. I need to ask, you’ve lobbed the term pretentious seemingly in the middle of a conversation.

You’re a significant part of the enjoyment I find in this place, it would be disappointing to learn your statement was aimed my way. It’s fine if it is, it would be your opinion but I hope it isn’t.

Ah, okay. Great. Thank you for explaining it. I’m relieved to learn it isn’t Azure or myself here.
I am surprised you even thought that way to be honest. lol
Above is the sequence. I think what made me ask was the timing of it more than anything else - a timing you explained in your response. It suggests I probably lack the needed experience; whenever I’m next confused as long as you’re patient with helping me identify it here and there we’re peachy!

My job is to be attentive to the world and people around me, I enjoy doing it. It’s greatly useful for the fun and experiences I’m after. Asking questions is a great way towards that. I’m a bit like a blind person that needs to feel their way in the world around them.

Or in fact a puppy.

Oh come on now. I put a lot of work into that postcard!!! What about the smoochies on his face? The India stamp?? The undying devotion until next week’s crush???? Dated and stamped as discussed!!!!

Job well done, my man. Smoochies were especially nice touch and the Indian stamp was lethal - sealed the deal forever. There's no doubt we will win the mixed double this year if we continue to work in this manner.

Until we find our next victim then. We have to keep an eye on young players with flairs.

P.S I didn't see it the first time and only saw it after you posted here and here I thought I was all over the place yesterday. Where did you post? I would have dedicated this song to it.

The issue was compounded at this end, I'd 'replied' to the original post in the sequence instead of your last one:

Is this too much? :p
It needs to be sealed with a kiss but yeah, I think that’s right. I reckon a date stamp so it can be filed with all the others - she’s got too many for alphabetical order.
Are you able to do the rest of the work?
Not at all.

I like you as a puppy, yes. And also, as a teddy bear. I am glad you are not a cat. They like to be pampered all the time so very needy.

I see what you are doing with the door stopper there and then looking at us with 'what?'. lol

Hey, have you got any pictures to post? Anything on the phone maybe? Anything interesting?
Hey. I don't know. I have some pics of me, but I am pretty new here so I don't think anyone is interested in those ones. I have pics of some of my drawings, some pictures of my friends, some landscapes maybe. Nothing interesting I think. However I have some pictures made with my girlfriend, but if I shared them, I would be banned for life. :D

No worries, man. As you can see, we are all going our separate ways.

All good things must come to end, alas. We do tend to recreate but in a different manner as this path has been fully exhausted. Not the way we had hoped but is there such a thing as happily ever after though? Not on this planet, I am afraid.

Anyway, I hope you guys come back stronger. I debated with the ignore button in the past but realized it's really helpful sometimes. It doesn't have to be forever but just for the short while when things get out of hands. Also, perhaps it's time to contemplate too. If there are actions and we must suffer the consequences then we must ask ourselves, why are we experiencing this?

My sincere apologies @Hydrocella and @Azure if I ever hurt your feelings or offended you somehow. I am sure I did as sometimes others do to me too, though unintentionally at times. On a message board like this one where many interests (to put it delicately) are involved, it can get very tricky and ugly sometimes. I wish things were simpler but they are not. In fact, they are almost always complicated. We make it difficult but we also learn from it and somehow, I feel that's a greater lesson or opportunity to expand more - learn more about ourselves if you will.

Anyway, take care guys wherever you are. Hope to see you sometime in the future if you do decide to come back.

@stringertom @Tennis_Hands @Crisstti

My issue with any poster has never been with having contradicting view points. As an adult, it is only natural that we all cannot see everything in the same light. My objection is often when the messenger is shot rather than the message. A few weeks back I had inadvertently created a thread called "TTW Library". A few posters kindly pointed out that there had already been another thread along similar lines. I called on the mods to merge the threads and/or delete the thread I had started. A point was made by posters without getting personal and all was well. Along similar circumstances, I had done the same here in my excitement of my preference for a player I happen to like. I had already mentioned that I leave it to the admins to take a call on being told that there was another thread already. I do not know what other response I could have given. Instead I read a post that's a personal attack - "indecent" (??)- for starting a thread because someone has started one before. If the poster in question has failed to see the damage done here, I can only sympathise with the idea that the posters English is perhaps not too strong or that the post was made with a complete intention of getting personal. Either way, the poster attributes to a similar treatment meted out to her in the past. I do not know those circumstances and if true, I am very sorry. However, that does not give any license to her to show a similar attitude to me.

I have always been against the idea of having someone on ignore. It feels wrong to slam a door on someone when a conversation can easily resolve many things in a civilised manner and I only hope that during my brief time here I have never resorted to anything that can be called abrasive. It is therefore unfortunate that time and again I have been made feel unwelcome on this forum. It has been six months since I have been here. I can say that I have enjoyed conversations with quite a few people. Alas, I cannot claim to have had similar levels of enjoyment with all posters. I shall refrain from posting henceforth. It seems that my innocuous posts are triggers for conversations completely unrelated to tennis which has never been my raison d'etre for joining in the first place.
This is very sad. Two quality posters left due to abuse. Some people are used to respect and civility in real life, and are understandably dismayed by the disrespect in the player fan threads. I almost never read those threads, but was curious about what people were saying about the Tsitsipas and Federer match, took a look, and the weird and childish bickering between fan bases was bewildering. One poster who haunts those threads seemed cool in Odds & Ends, but not in the fan war dog packs that upset @Azure. I enjoyed her travel photos and posts.

I did think Azure became a bit too sensitive lately. She was better when she was less attached. And then she suddenly became a really huge fan of Tsitsipas (yeah, that name is not going to sit with people well so there goes the goathood) which was a bit confusing. Fanaticism happens I know as it did with me and Sampras where I became a fan overnight, but the fanaticism had yet to come lmho! But the point is, it was a bit uncharacteristic of Azure to like Tsitsi all that much all that sudden when all he did was beat a 37 year old and Agut of all people and got all emotional over it to the point she had to stop posting. Even Hydro leaving didn't upset her this much though I am sure they are still in touch, still, somehow I thought this should have been more upsetting.

Anyway, taking a 180 here but still somewhat relevant, I created both I Wish and I Wonder threads so that I can put my random thoughts there as when I did it here in the middle of a conversation between Hydro and Azure, it was misinterpreted right away by both and frankly, I don't blame them as it was really completely out of the blue, but that's how things go with me. But I could also tell they were a bit sensitive by then already. Again, I don't blame them as I am a very sensitive person myself. And the forum can be a REALLY trigger point.

I continue to babble on this subject but of course it's quite natural to have crushes like these. I never really had one but that doesn't mean I can't recognize one. My attraction for Sampras was basically platonic as it is with Andy. But I wouldn't stop posting because of it. Because I wasn't able to open a thread. I don't think I'd care so much especially when it was already pointed out that there was a similar thread already. I think only that was the surprising element to it. That one would find it difficult to deal with it over something so silly. And you really can't expect people to treat you very nice all the time no matter how you treat them back. It just never works that way. So there was a certain superior complexity there if I am to be honest.

Did I mention that we just had just gone through a very big snow storm (I know, I know what else is new etc.) that dumped 15-20 cm snow just in Toronto area? It started this past Monday and by the time I left work to go home, it was brutal. The snow was blowing because of the strong wind so the driving back home was very slippery and tricky (no visibility). And it continued to snow with the harsh blowing wind the next day too though by now, they had cleared most of the snow but then we had another round of snow in the afternoon and made things worse again. Visibility was compromised as a result.

And here comes my heroic journey (lmho). I dared to go to work when most worked from home (another spotlight award is looming! lmho) but what I really dared was when I took pictures of the storm while driving back to home. But this was yesterday. I couldn't have dared on Monday. You needed both hands on the while.

So this is me driving and trying to take some pictures. Here's a picture I am stopped at a red light waiting to go to the right.

And here I am driving slow and trying to take pictures with my right hand only. I took a few but they all look the same.

This was from last week downtown Toronto when I had to go and get something from some store. You can see there's no snow to be found anywhere. And now we have snow mountains after the clean up on every corner of the street. Aye aye aye aye aye.

Picture time!

So I was going thru Hudson's Bay and came across this big red cow and it instantly reminded me of Azure.

And then I walked around it and discovered a red chicken and it instantly reminded me of...okay, so it didn't remind me of anyone but it was a red menace!

Behind the red cow, I noticed these lovely cutting/cheese boards and they instantly reminded me of....that's right, Hydro. He'd love to chop chop his way to some nice bon appetit.

See? You can't say that I don't remember you because I do. I really do. I do I do ....I do.

Look at these beautiful mountain stones. Are they beautiful or are they beautiful? Granted these aren't my pictures but I fell in love with the stones. They are found in Vancouver. Yes, that's Canada for you (Hydro is turning over in his bed and yawning I am sure).

In memory of my good friend Hydro and in an attempt to keep this thread alive, I made the following dishes over the weekend. You know, Hydro and I had a food war going on for a while where he'd post pictures of food while travelling and I'd challenge those ...ahem 'street foods' :p with my home cooked food. It was really good while it lasted.

So here it goes - first up, cabbage rolls. What you see first is the steamed ones with ground chicken filling inside. This is an Asian style. Next time I am going to make dumplings with the same idea; however, need some Asian spices which I don't have in my pantry right now.

Here's a close-up

And then I fried a few and served with this God knows what I made with rice and lentils as a side. And served with some red wine of course.

I also made some quick stir-fry chicken Asian style which I feel Hydro would appreciate too.

Chop, chop. Bon appetite!

The end.

Beat that, sucker @Hydrocella lmho! :p

The lines are wet paint, cut out my med cab and made a niche (guest bath). Can fill sides tomorrow to make it look like the wall. Probably moving lights to ceiling, dont like things sticking out in a small space.

Love the niche. Great idea given that it's a guest bath and moving lights to ceiling is great too but where would the sink be? Do you need a light there?
