PK 5G or PK 7G

Has anyone played both the 5G and 7G. I have playtested the 5G, but want a little more power. Is the 7G any different on a power level ? Pro kennex website shows a flex rating of 65 for the 5G, and 70 for the 7G. But the TW specs show 65 for the 5G, and 66 for the 7G. If anyone out there has played both your input would be greatly apppreciated. Thanks

Have played the 5g, 7G, Ki5, Ki10, and Ki15 (in both Std and PSE form). I preferred the 5G to the 7G because I find it a bit more manuveurable at the net. The 7G was great from the baseline and for serving, so if you play a baseline game it might fill your need though I didn't notice any more power than the 5g. Found the Ki5 to be just a touch more powerful than the 5G and really liked it. But mine broke quickly and I moved on.

The Ki10 definitely has more power than the 5 and 7. If you prefer a heavier weight, the Ki10 PSE version weighs essentially the same as the 5g and would be worth a demo. Found the 15G Std too light and the 15PSE too powerful for my tastes.

Agree with netman, although I found a smidgeon more pop on groundies & serve with the 7g. Try some more lively string setups and a little added mass on the 5g and you may discover the extra zing you require...

Both are great racquets. 5g worked better for doubles for me but 7g worked better for singles.

How tall are you, and how long are your arms? I am 6'2" and I use the 7G. (I got tired of waiting for the 5G Demo.) They are supposed to be (virtually) the same stick ... just the 7G is longer.

I also tried the Ki 10 and 15 PSEs. The 10 was slightly too powerful for me; the 15 was way too powerful. They might be good if you have good control already and just seek more power....
