It's entirely possible that Djok will go right back to being his old self, but I think it's foolish to assume that without any evidence. I need to see him play before I pencil him in for anything.

I have Djokovic as the favorite for the USO, but wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't win. It all looks too easy with all these withdrawals that have taken place. Something's gotta give.

Not really.
Nadal has proven he can switch it just in time for RG. 2015 is the only exception, but unless he is playing as garbage as back then, he is the favorite to win the whole thing.
