Played on Har-tru and ditched the NB 800. Wore out so many pairs of the NB CT 790 that with a lifetime warranty NB sent the 800. Musta got tired of replacing shoes so sent the solution for free. Stuck with the Adidas Feathers till they were discontinued. Used custom carbon insoles till breaking two pair. Like playing on a billiard table barefoot.
Cheers, Ronaldo! I am very satisfied with the FAA's Barricades these days. I stayed with Adidas after Novak left in terms of shoes. Amazing durability, very tight heel grab, good traction on HC, great shock absorbtion. Once you get in, I mean might be tight for some, esp as they are using some wedges on the inside to keep you tight around the heels.

Hey guys, I just wanted your tips on how you cured PF.

I felt pain in April and went to a podiatrist. I got custom orthodics and have been using them in my walking shoes ever since.

I have tried shockwave but it made no difference, if not making it worse.
Graston seems to help a bit but only when a lot of pressure is used.
I've been getting massages, rolling, graston, epsom salt baths, hamstring stretching, calf stretch on the stair, and I haven't worked out at all in 2 MONTHS. I'm getting impatient as it's been two months of not even being able to jog or do anything.
1) calf stretching. Modified push up position with butt in the air, toe angles slightly inward and on the ground, heel on the ground, lean forward, hold minimum 30 seconds, 3 reps.
2) stretch your big toe. This was huge for me and I think it’s what got me better. It’s amazing how tight and sore the toes (and surrounding tendons) get from tennis and it definitely contributes to PF. Sit on the floor and grab your big tow and pull it a diagonal direction and hold for 20 seconds. Repeat at different angles. You can also stretch your other toes after the calf stretch by bending them backwards, raising your heel off the ground.
3) loose weight. This is Key to keep the stress off your feet. Intermittent fasting followed by high protein first meal. Focus on maximizing protein and minimizing sugar throughout the rest of the day.

Wore the Barricade 8 then switched to the Ubersonic 2 till the present. Lighter, mesh, flexible, fit great but the soles do not age well. Material hardens. On my third pair but a torn rotator cuff for the third time has curtailed tennis now.

Best of recovery! Had myself a bit of that, but I was able to strengthen it with elastic tubing and with a TRX-like anchor-based system. Only $50 from Amazon. Many friends going through rotator cuff issues too. I did not get to surgery though. BTW, my barricades are type 13,

Make sure your shoes are flexible in the soles in the right area: Barricades are good for me (Novak's versions and later, type 13)
See the test here -- mandatory
Use Spenco full-sole inserts ($30, with gel in the heel are best)
That cured me a long time ago, after one year of excruciating pain caused by inflexible NB800s. Switched to Sampras's Nike Air Oscillates, amazing shoes, not in production any more. Saved me.
The only tennis shoes that caused the PF was a pair of NB800 series. Never bought another pair of NB.

Had PF for 25+ yrs. Had custom graphite orthotics and cracked two pairs. Discovered a softer alternative insole after starting a job that required being on your feet 12 hrs/day. Also had/have great relief with Oofos recovery slides.
