For the most part we're beginning to witness the main guys of Federer's generation start their downward spiral as they reach the twilight years of their career (Fed included) Watching Davydenko play Fish and getting bageled, its kinda sad seeing once great players becoming a shadow of their former self, whether you liked them in their prime or not. Who out of these players do you want to see make a final deep run at slam/s the most before they retire?

Roddick--asshat or not, I still feel that he was robbed of slams because he was unlucky enough to have Federer on the other side.

Roddick or Hewitt. I don't really like either of them that much, but they both enjoyed a lot of success early in their careers, and then spent much of their career being dominated by Federer. That's a huge blow to the ego

It would be nice if either of them could enjoy one last bite at the apple.
Nalbandian or David Ferrer. These oldies deserve the accolade of being a GS champion.
The former for having great talent (but probably lacking in discipline, luck and dedication) and the latter for having great dedication, discipline and hardwork (but probably lacking in talent {compared to the top dogs} and luck) imho.

None of those. I'd like to see Tommy Haas in a major final.
wouldnt you know you took the words right out of my mouth. I feel like Tommy was robbed of many things over the years, and i would like to see him push for it at least one last time
Andy Roddick for oddly sentimental reasons, but--Nalby is one of my favourite players in terms of style and I would LOVE to see him bag one.
Since all of these are pretty much pipe dreams anyway...

Nicolas Mahut. :D

Poor guy has felt real tennis misery. First losing the epic Queens final to Roddick, then The Match at Wimbledon.

If Davydenko beat Djokovic in a hard court slam final we would witness both rally nirvana and a miracle !

I'd like to see racquet smasher Gonzalez win a GS. However, Davydenko has to be one of the most consistently good players never to reach a major final, so he must be included. Also, Stepanek, just because his game is so unique and awesome.

Roddick for sure. The dude has been robbed of too many Slams. He should end his career with at least one more Slam.
