Tsonga was out of this world last year.

For one Masters tournament, then he dropped off the face of the Earth again.

Most overrated recent Top 10 besides Ferrer if you ask me.

Heres the thing, not all players got the chance to play 2 of the 3.....

Amazingly Nadal and Djokovic are still tied for the lead in this category with four wins apiece even though they have fewer chances to play against the Big Three.

I'm so disappointed to see Raonic's loss to Federer, he missed the chance to face all Big 3 in a tournament.

When Tsonga is on the top of his game, he has the tools to defeat the big four.

Definitely agree. He can get his game to a ridiculously high level. He is one of only two players (The other being Berdych) to defeat the "Big 4" at Grand Slams.

Defeated Federer at Wimbledon 2011 and French Open 2013.
Defeated Nadal at Australian Open 2008.
Defeated Murray at Australian Open 2008.
Defeated Djokovic at Australian Open 2010.

His run last year at the Canada Masters was excellent too. Defeated Djokovic, Murray and Federer to win the title.

Tsonga unfortunately injured right now, his level at Wimbledon 2011 was insane (and Australian open 2008 too).
Now let's face it he's done (or almost done).

Shoooots. If Tsonga, Delpo and Soderling were not so injury/ill stricken; and if Gulbis, Verdasco, Monfils etc were not headcases and are more consistent, we would have had a much more competitive ATP.............challenging the GS and 1000s. Thr Big 3 might not be too far from the rest

Add Davydenko to that injury list.

Add Davydenko to that injury list.

Davydenko, for all his worth was really not a GS contender, i think. He's reached a GS semis I believe, and can be very consistent and tenacious. Just did not appear to have that major weapon to hurt the big 3/4 in the BIG events. Whereas the others, in my opinion, if they are on....really on, can do major damage in the Slams etc

4 Grand Slam semi's. He was playing some of the best tennis of his life late 2009 - early 2010 (Won Umag, Malaysia, Shanhai, WTF, Doha) but a goddamn wrist injury stayed with him pretty much throughout the remainder of his career. A shame really. I thought he could sneak in a GS...

Nah, he's just very French. I'd say he's been closer to a slam title than Ferrer has.

Tsonga used to be better than he has been for the last 2-3 years.

You're right on that statement though, I think.

Yep, I'm sure Soderling would've won FO had he not become ill. He's the kind of player who only got better with age. More mature.

I played in the same tournaments as him a few times in the 90s when we were in our early teens. He wasn't a a very nice guy then and had a pretty bad attitude. And I think that followed him up until around he got ill.

4 grand slam semis. And at FO 2005 a doper beat him, robbing him a chance to play his first slam final against the great Nadal

AO 2010 was his shot. He blew it against Fed a bit, then he would've gotten Tsonga, who beat Djokovic, and then Murray.

He just didn't get past his biggest nemesis (Fed) at that major, but if he did I believe he could've won. Would've been tough, but he was playing that well then.

Bump. Interesting. Is this one more stat that Djokovic holds the record in, by beating at least 2 members of the big 3 in the same tournament five times?
