Players Whose Games Annoy You

This is not an issue about personality, but strictly a player's game. Are there any players whose games either annoy, bore, or frustrate you? Do you prefer not to watch them? If so, why?

1. DeMinaur - I find his game to be completely boring, While I recognize there's some talent there, he just stands on the baseline and bashes the ball. To me, that is not good tennis, and I only watch him if he's playing someone I really enjoy.

2. Khachanov - I also find him to be somewhat boring. Again, the ability is there but he just doesn't do much except try to overpower opponents. Not an interesting or exciting game.

3. Carena-Busta - I find him in the same category. Although he is better at the net than the other two, there is just nothing about his game I enjoy.

Terenigma

G.O.A.T.
Thiem/Wawrinka

Both of them play very mundane ballbashing tennis that i find incredibly stale and boring to watch, Thiem in paticular trains a ton but his tennis still resorts to that same "hit hard" tactic when under pressure and shows absolutely no sign of getting any more interesting. It feels like he only tries something else when his opponent forces him into it, he doesn't come up with anything good and his point construction is atrocious. That final was hard AF to watch and i couldn't even get all the way through Thiem vs Medvedev and it's not Medvedev's fault, because his previous match with Rublev might just be the best match i have watched this year. Thiem might have some success but his tennis is just incredibly dull to watch for me.

Carreno has little power and doesn't possess a big serve. out of these weaponless players i however like him most as he moves very lithely and is a great fighter.
Bautista is a weaponless fighter too, but his movement is ugly fwiw.

those other 2 are boring, i agree, but there are so many players i wouldn't watch. easier to name those i would watch. Carreno is one of them.

with that said, occasionally i can also watch players in the hope that they lose, for instance watching servebots like Khachanov getting dismantled can be a pleasure. :sneaky:
DeMinaur is doubly annoying in this regard. i don't want him to lose, i don't want him to win. :X3: similar feeling with Nishikori.
other short size players, like Davydenko or Ferrer, i found much more watchable as their games were more homogenous.

Shapovalov
wa:oops: seek help eh :p

Serena. The temper. The grunting and shrieks. The bad footwork (though it has improved). The unhappiness rather than enjoyment of the battle. And, seeing her put too much pressure on herself. Not fun to watch.
Osaka's winning speech at the U.S. Open was terrible. Azarenka made her work hard and Osaka "did not enjoy the match." This was really annoying along with some of her other comments and her attitude.
Inser's inability to break his opponents' serves. Kyrgios and Paire tanking matches.

Isner: When he played the way he should always play he won the Miami masters. It frustrates me that even his coach and the people that work with him don't see that he's never going to be Nadal or Djokovic. He should not be hitting more than 3 shots per point on the opponent's serve and he should be going for an outright winner on every other opponent second serve. As Andre commentated during Roddick v Federer(the one that Federer won 7-6,7-6,6-2 at the US Open) that after 3 shots Andy should just fire his fourth shot into the crowd.
What happens is that Isner is holding comfortably during the first set and maybe even wins the tiebreak. Then because of the retrieving he gets tired and loses a little on his own serves towards the end of the match. If he doesn't get tired, he keeps serving well.
Just frustrating to see it happen time and again. And I don't even like Isner that much.

Any Big Server With nothing else to their game i.e Isner, Karlovic, Opelka
Any pusher e.g. Simon

Zverev: At his best he is great to watch but other times he is a double fault machine and error prone on the FH side.
Berretini: Quite possibly has one of the worst Backhands on tour.
Paire: Clown not a tennis player the lack of effort is shocking

De Minaur doesn't just stand on the baseline, he moves like crazy and not just along the baseline but all over the court. I actually find his game to be fun. Maybe not among the greatest entertainers out there, but his unbelievable gets and forehands on the run are a joy to watch.

Servebots like Isner and Karlovic, players who lack aggression like Gilles Simon, tankers like Tomic and Kyrgrios (when they are tanking only), players who are angry all the time, bad sportsmen, loud grunters…easier to make a list of players I like.

Paire, that forehand and lack of effort. Ruud, only forehand, great effort but just so little talent and ball feel. Alliassime, just so maschinelike and boring. Zverev, i almost fall asleap and i just don't like his face or attitude or his necklaces.. Murray i actually like a lot..

Boring Servebots.
Wozniacki, Sanchez Vicario and similar tedious "just send the ball back if you can" playing styles.
Ball bashers like Muguruza.
Connors with his body movement that looked like poor disco dancing.
Thiem's for being one-dimensional.
Azarenka for being too intense when playing and making horrible screams when hitting the ball.

That is exactly what Andre Agassi said. He meant to hit the ball as hard as he could to hit a winner or an error.
But not to hit it into the crowd. Haven't we just seen how much trouble that has just caused for the top player in the world? Andre really should have known better!

Azarenka probably enjoyed the match a lot less I'm sure.

Um... I guess I am on the "PCB is not interesting" train.

& Djokovic. His game outside of when he plays Fed (which is only interesting to me cause of how Fed makes him play) is often boring to me. I know he's incredible, but it's just not usually interesting to me and... I just can't handle the boob scoops when he wins - which is almost always.
