Playing in the zone?????

What do you guys think of this website?
http://www.tennis-in-the-zone.com/

By the way I have been in the zone couple times and I realize that most of what they (the website) say is correct. For example the technique of focusing on the contact zone and not following the ball as it gose on the other side of the net or not focusing on the ball while its comming back to your side of the net. When I was in the zone I was focused on space right infront of me (the contact zone) and I watched the ball with my preferal vision as it came to my side of the net. The only time I focused on the ball was after the bounce. I think the website might have this figured out.

Anybody think the techniques they teach is worth practicing?

I've read other studies which call for a "jump succade" of the eyes to the contact zone where the eyes re-focus on the expect contact point when the ball is so close you can't follow it anyway. That seems to work for me for the few times I was in the zone.

You can't really make out any detail at the contact point, all you see is a woosh of the racket and the ball. So it seems weird that it does actually help with timing. It may be that what you are really focusing on is everything about the shot, your form etc. Or maybe it's just that you are not focusing on distractions. I'm not sure. Maybe the reality is that your mind is focused on the contact point and how to get the racket acceleration speed you want at that point.

I have to wonder what you would do during a return of serve.
