Playing on two state bound teams?

I have a dilemma. two teams:

team A.... perennial state qualifier ...plays to win .... Finished in top 4 at Nationals for 2007(before I joined) ...******** players.. I play half the matches at 1,2 or 3 dubs(always mixed up)...very deep team with a VERY knowledgeable capt.

this is my Summer/Winter team...we won City in the Summer and have already qualified for state... I am a middle of the pack player on a big roster....I may not play much at state...but team has a great chance of winning it again.

Team B...different district...closer to home....probably just as strong but untested.. I play every match...1 or 2 dubs...play with best friend....

this is my Spring /Fall team...We have 1 match left to qualify for State......

with two season left Winter and Spring to qualify for state it seems as if both teams with qualify for state. I want to play with team B for state(team A doesn't NEED me...they will do well without me..they have 15 players of equal ability) If team B doesn't win state, will I still be eligible to play with Team A at sectionals? Assuming team A makes it and team B doesn't. Obviously if team B makes it then its a moot point.

I've been in a similar situation. You will be eligible to play at sectionals; however, the team very well may not want you if you choose to play "against" them at state.

An update:

OK well both teams went to State at 3.5.

I played with team B ....the smaller, less experienced team. both teams ended up with 10 players.

Both teams were undefeated in the round robins...

Team B
My Partner and I won every match at line 1 dubs....3-4, 3-3, 0-1, 0-1, 1-3. I will probably get bumped up to 4.0.

We were looking good but that darn super tie breaks killed us....

We lost in the quarters ....Lost both Singles, line 1 was undefeated all season and lost 2-2, Line 2 had an injury and lost 0-0, 1 Dubs was us We won 1-3, So we needed both of the other dubs and line 2 lost the first set 3-6, won the 2nd set 7-6 and lost the super TB 7-10....Line 3d won the first in TB and were up a break at 4-3 in the 2nd........

Team A ...who we would have played in the semis, beat the team that beat us.......both singles went to Super TB's Team A won 1 and the team that beat team B won the other.
1 and 3 dubs BOTH went to STBs and Team A won both....2 dubs was heading that direction....Team A was up 6-4, 5-5.....So close!

Then Team A plays in the finals with only 1 STB line 3 dubs Which we lost....But we won 2S 0-0, 1d 1-4, 2d 4-5....So I'm going to Sectionals with Team A.......It sure is nice to have 2 teams at state.

I thought most leagues required you to make an election up front and decide which team you will go with. Definitely check on this to make sure you aren't declared ineligible.

Me, I'd go with my best friend on Team B. More fun, I would think.

This has to be an Atlanta area USTA team.

Well, you are correct. It is an Atlanta team. It's my first year on this team but it's the teams 5th straight trip to state and 2nd straight trip to Sectionals. Hopefully it will be the 2nd straight trip to Nationals! I had mixed emotions about which team to play with. I figured that with team B, I would play every match at 1 or 2 dubs and with team A, I probably would have played 2-3 matches...maybe more. My partner with Team B was probably the best doubles player at the event...he made me much better, taught me ALOT. Hopefully with this experience, I can be in a better position to help team A at Sectionals now.
