First of all, I realize I'm stereotyping, and that there will always be exceptions to rules. However, I am struck by the similarities in playing styles between players of the same nationality. So just for fun, I thought I'd start a list of nationalities and their respective 'playing styles'. Also, I thought I'd add on the country's 'preference' for one or two handed backhands
North American - Big serve, big forehand, two-handed backhand
Spanish - Topspin, 'passive-aggressive', two-handed backhand
British - Serve and volley? One-handed backhand
Swiss - Offensive, one-handed backhand
Latin American - Topspin, defensive, one-handed backhand
Feel free to agree, disagree, and add more nationalities.
P.S - please don't construe this as derogatory in any way!
