Tomorrow i will make a little surgery and remove two small marks on my face and i will take 2 or 3 stitches in each.
I will ask the doctor, but i would like to know if someone here played tennis with stitches in the face.

Of course this means take care to keep the sweat away from the face (bandana etc..).

I'm pretty sure I did 10 years ago after a surgery that used a number of stitches, but I really don't remember it. I wouldn't think it would be a problem, given that you wouldn't want to play the same day you have the surgery. It might make a difference where they are and whether you tend to get hit in the face a lot.

if you use a towel to wipe just be careful. Keep the sweat off them as you say. Otherwise if the running and movement doesnt cause you pain there, it should be ok.

I know hockey players seem to frequently get facial and scalp stitches and go right back on the ice.

In general the face (and scalp) has a tremendous blood supply, and that helps healing and helps prevent infection.

But the wise thing, as you posted, is to ask your doctor.

The doctor said it's ok after the first two or three days, as long as i keep the sweat away from it and keep it covered by a ''bandage'' .

A couple stitches in the face? Please!

Have you never watched an NHL game before? Those guys go into the locker room, receive dozens of stitches and are back out on their next line change.

I played two years ago the day after getting a funky mole removed from my serving shoulder. I think you'll be fine.

LeeD made it to the finals of a Challenger level tournament 2 days after breaking both his leg while attempting to jump the Grand Canyon on his motorcycle (He ALMOST went to the hospital that time ).

He lost in the finals in a four hour thriller to an unorthodox player everyone called "funky mole".

Luckily, the match ended at 11am, still giving him plenty of time to fulfill his duties as QB and kicker on the 49ers practice squad later that day.

Not sure if it's good or not, but I had 3 stitches inside my mouth from
a surfing wipeout and played tennis the next day. It had severed the little
stringy thing just above the two middle front teeth. It made smiling very
difficult until it healed.
