    Hello T'dub:
I place a great amount of street credibility on the TW reviews of tennis racquets. I rarely venture into uncharted (not TW Reviewed) waters. I'm currently in the market for a frame (100sq.in.) with good power and good control and preferrably with a RA under 68.
The two scores I look for most in your reviews is the Power/Control metric.
I playtest enough to know my preferred Power to Control Spec would be 84-85 Power to 82/85 Control.

This Racquet Metric Does not Exist. (if one does, please inform me!!!)

Thus, my question becomes, should I pick one with a higher control (83+) and string it looser with a natural gut or multi or pick a higher power (84+) with tighter poly?

100in racquets that come close are: Wilson Burn (too stiff?), Yonex VCore Pro 100, Volkl V-1, Prince Textremes 100P and Warrior.

I'm tempted toward the VCore Pro 100 strung at 60lbs with Natural Gut.

    Suggestions?

    Hi Mark,

I wish I had a more concrete answer as it really depends on what works best for you. The scores on the review should be used as more as a guideline as there are a ton of different variables contributing to them(the biggest being different playtesters on each review). I know you know but the best thing you can do is demo. However, I think a couple options you may like are (and it seems a couple you are leaning towards to):

    1) Yonex VCORE Pro 100 (300g)
    2) Prince Textreme Tour 100P
    3) Babolat Pure Strike 100
    4) ProKennex Ki Q+ 5 Pro (310)
    5) Volkl V-Sense V1 Pro

I would say the ProKennex is the most powerful of the bunch.

The string and tension can help add some tweaks to power/control levels

    Hope that helps!
    Brittany, TW

Yes. That helps me with developing a short list to demo. Thank you.
