Please!!Help really needed!! Yonex RDS003 vs. Yonex RDiS 300

Hi people. Long time reader, first time poster. I'm in dire need of help from you knowledgeable tennis people.

Today is my birthday and my parents are allowing me to pick any gift I want (under 200) so I decided to just get a new racquet since I've had mine for two years now and I've been wanting a new one.

I believe you need information about my game before helping so here's a little bit about me.

I am 6'1
About 180lbs.
I"m a lefty
I play mostly all court (if i feel lazy i stick to the baseline)
I use a semi-western grip on my forehand and a eastern grip one handed backhand.

So with this, I was wondering what your opinion is on what racquet I should get, the Yonex RDS003 or the Yonex RDiS 300? is the RDiS worth the extra 30 dollars as it is the upgrade to the RDS003?

Thanks so much in advance for helping me.

Sorry, havn't hit with the RDis300, but can say I liked the RDS003 a lot. It wasn't stable enough for me and I was looking for something less stiff. Otherwise, I'd have 2 in the bag!

What racquet are you using and why do you want to replace it?
If it's not broke, don't bother changing it.

I use the RDS003. It's light weight and it fits my game well. If I had the chance I would try out the RDiS 300, it seems as if it would improve my game a little bit, but not alot. But, alas, I'm sticking with my RDS003's. The specs aren't that different anyways.

Also, if you wanted, you could get the old PJ of the RDS003 for about $100 (on a special yonex site) meaning you could get 2 racquets versus one racquet. Good luck!

i actually used an oversized racquet haha, so i'm just looking for something to improve my game, i don't wanna go to a 95 right away because i feel that that's to much of a drastic change so i wanted a quality made 100in racquet, and IMO yonexes are always nice.

Thanks for the help btw you two! I decided to get the RDS003 and some strings instead of spending my money on the RDiS if it's not that much of a difference anyways.

are you aware that the 300 is extended length. If you have to have that then get 2 300's per advice here and lead up as you want more heft. If not, then that opens the door to some nice sticks that are not extended length with good stability. the rds 002 (non tour) is a light stick but has great stability for it's weight. Of course, at your size, you could use what I use the rds 002 tour and work on your game. In the end, it depends on what weight you "want" to handle.

Well, how do you like it? I have five of each -- the 003 and the 300 (BTW, it's the 003 that is extended length, NOT the 300). Specas are indeed very much a like, except the RDiS is 4 pts HL and the 003 6 pts; also, the RDiS had more flex, which I appreciate.
Both are excellent. Check out the TW video review with beautiful Tiffani on your RDS 003; it will inspire you!

I played with the RDS 003 on and off for two years. I'm an all court player that only plays doubles now. I loved the 003. Serves and ground strokes were excellent, but I never volleyed that well with the racquet. Hence the on and off relationship. I'm currently hitting with the RDiS 300. It does everything well that the RDS 003 did, but with more spin, better feel, and I volley lights out with the new frame.

Sounds like you made the same journey that I have... see the new thread dedicated to Yonex racquets that I started: Yonex 110% Loyalty Tour.
