Personally, I only want to read new stuffWhat's wrong with bumping threads? If no one is interested they will fall away quickly. But if folks are interested, then what's the problem?

That’s my opinion. And let it be known that 10 years from now, I am not allowing you to bump my thread.

Bookmarked for 2028.That’s my opinion. And let it be known that 10 years from now, I am not allowing you to bump my thread.
My self-promotion tactics are very subtle.I will return to this thread in 10 years to bump it.
Completely Agree with OP
Too much of anything is NOT good
If you have that much time, explore different religions and find out the truth instead of wasting precious human life meted to you by the supreme on silly tennis threads, life is far greater
Ancient threads are only bumped to troll anyway
Yeah I saw that thread and I thought “this is so hilariously wrong that it needs bumped”Some threads are so bad they deserve bumping forever.

What’s wrong with bumping threads? I think it’s quite amusing to see ancient threads.Anyone who bumps threads should be banned immediately. Problem solved. I'm not talking about bumping threads like "Poor Murray got destroyed again!"
Right, as if giving credits to a 14 years old prediction that went well is something extremely bad.Anyone who bumps threads should be banned immediately. Problem solved. I'm not talking about bumping threads like "Poor Murray got destroyed again!"
Hey you’re the guy who said Baghdatis would be better than Federer and Samprasbump bump bump

Sarcasm is usually detected through tone of voice so it’s very hard to detect sarcasm online.Apparently the concept of sarcasm is lost on you.
Don't worry. It's a skill that can be honed here.Sarcasm is usually detected through tone of voice so it’s very hard to detect sarcasm online.
Look at the thread list. More than half are bumps.

Yeah better not be any old threads with titles about Andy returning from injurySometimes it can be but I must admit that I've been caught off guard a few times now by thinking a new thread is actually new only to find it is actually one from 10 years ago or more so the thread title I thought was indicating something fresh or recent is actually ancient and outdated news. It can be a bit irritating!
I'm not talking about legit bumps, like some old thread from 2003: "This kid Nadal is gonna be good!" I'm talking about the bumps recently with thread titles like "Ljubicic deserves more credit!" (from 10 years ago) or "Murray coming back soon!" (from 2012). Those are misleading wastes of time. Notice the bumped threads are all emanating from new users. What’s wrong with bumping threads? Davis Cup obviously. Plenty of high level tennis all across the world in multiple different time zones. This is best thread above all the bumped thread today. We're gonna revisit this in 5 and 10 years
Btw, OP, its Saturday and no tourneys around. What else do you expect as a new topic? Fedr GOAT. Nadal injury. Djoko wiped out. Murray dead horse. Nextgen beer mugs. Usual stuff?
I enjoy the epic butthurt of Fed haters, so I approve of the bumping of 2013 threads especially. But post 2014 Wimby, 2015 Wimby, 2015 USO, 2016 AO threads are good to bump too! How does it FEEEEEEL Nole-t*ards?

I feel your painNow that would be REALLY irritating!![]()
@Mainad, someone did bump this morning a "Murray coming back!" thread from 2012. I hope you didn't see it because I knew it would upset you. I have never reported any post here ever, but I reported that one and I see they removed it. I actually thought about you and was seriously ticked off someone would bump that and get people's hopes up about Muzz coming back sooner than we expected. Now that would be REALLY irritating!![]()
