I did not have a choice. @HypnoticLasagna gave me a set of 1.23 so that’s all l have to playtest.
1.23 is in trouble.

Told you... everyone making fun of it for no good reason not realizing its legitimately a top option for snapback and spin... they're working on a less stiff round version next that will be better for hybrids thankfullyStrung up Restring Zero in my 2012 Pure Drive @ 45/43#. Firm and crisp feel to the string. It's quite lively with above average pop off the stringing machine. A bit too lively on the first hit. The response calms down a little after the initial hit at which point, the string settles in and provides a ton of spin potential. It winds the ball up with very tight spin. Control is excellent. So far, it's an excellent string. Will see how long it lasts but this string seems to be a real winner so far.
It's not the string people are knocking...Told you... everyone making fun of it for no good reason not realizing its legitimately a top option for snapback and spin... they're working on a less stiff round version next that will be better for hybrids thankfully
as an experiment, i've been keeping this in my racquet for like 12+ hours and the mains will not notch. crosses have noticeable notching tho.
it's still very playable too, no noticeable drop in control/tension. will probably restring (heh) it soon before i actually hurt myself when it truly dies out.
No these ppl are just a small startup have nothing to do with solincoThis string reminds me alot of…
Solinco Confidential 2.0
In color, performance and feel. They were probably made by the same manufacturer.
Yea I mean they're kinda opposites confidential very dead and zero launchy if anything, livelyI already wrote this in the Shift thread, but might as well write it here as well.
The Restring Zero is a surprisingly good string with a lot of snap back and great durability. I have played around 10 sets and had 2 practices with this string at 50x48lbs and there is minimal notching, while the Confidential I normally used would pretty much be dead. The string is definitely a little on the powerful and lively side for me, but paired with the Shift, my shots kept dropping in when I was swinging with confidence. I'm still not sure if this will replace the Confidential because I am used to its dead feeling. I have one more set to try and will string it a couple of pounds higher then decide after.
You do understand what contract manufacturing is don't you? I do not believe you understand what Mad Dog was trying to say.No these ppl are just a small startup have nothing to do with solinco
I actually played the 3.0 Confidential and it is the closest it gets in snapback comparison to the Zero. This string reminds me alot of…

Probably because it comes from the same factory. Formulation is probably pretty similar as well. The shape is slightly different - one being 6 sided and the other 5 sided.I actually played the 3.0 Confidential and it is the closest it gets in snapback comparison to the Zero.
What is your normal string and usable lifespan?
The Confidential I played was a soft and round variation, not 5-sided. "We've sent you some of our unreleased rounded, soft co-polyester strings -- Hyper-G round and LB Round. Please let us know when you receive the package". Along came a round-shaped Hyper G.Probably because it comes from the same factory. Formulation is probably pretty similar as well. Yes, it’s a lot like Solinco confidential 3.0. Performance and feel falls right between the 5 sided and round variants which makes sense since RZ is 6 sided so it is more rounded and therefore has some of the similarities in comfort and feel with the confidential 3.0 round while retaining the spin and bite of confidential 3.0 5 sided.I know posters think I have some kind of vested interest in ReString Zero. I don't. I just stumbled on a great product after watching some YouTube videos and wanted to share my findings here. It seems like more and more people are finding out for themselves how good the string is.
They have reels, but only for stringers, they are selling boxes with sets instead of reels as a better alternative for players. Besides their packaging is biodegradable, looking for a better care of nature and ecology. I heard they will start selling reels now, but I see so much energy and enthusiasm from Juan at Restring, I think TW should consider selling it.Because it is a brand new string it may take awhile. If you notice on their website they are only selling sets, this is because it is probably their first or possibly second order from their manufacturer and they weren't comfortable buying a minimum order of 100+ reels.
It is great that they are getting traction. I am not sure what TW parameters are for carrying a string on their website, but the company probably has to prove it can consistently fill wholesale orders when requested.
Once you start to see reels offered on their own website it is a good sign that sales are picking up steam and long term customers are being created!
I’ve come to eat a large portion of crow. Well, I am actually just cooking the crow right now, we’ll see how it tastes in the next couple weeks. This is finally your opportunity to upgrade your tour hex, its even a kinda similar color
Lmao nice... I would also recommend trying tru pro Atomos and see if you like that, great stringI’ve come to eat a large portion of crow. Well, I am actually just cooking the crow right now, we’ll see how it tastes in the next couple weeks.
I’ve always liked Tour Hex but moved away from it in the past year. The itch to try new strings, coupled with the dumpster fire that is Mayami’s business operations sent me in new directions.
But I figured I should try this string. Just ordered a 5 pack. We’ll see.
Ketchup helps with the taste, FYI. I've eaten more than my fair share over the years.I’ve come to eat a large portion of crow. Well, I am actually just cooking the crow right now, we’ll see how it tastes in the next couple weeks.

Good. $14-15 for a set? On par with some top level strings.Nope
I’m ready to eat a little crow. This was only my first outing which was 1.5 hours and included some hitting and a set of singles.I’ve come to eat a large portion of crow. Well, I am actually just cooking the crow right now, we’ll see how it tastes in the next couple weeks.

I find Restring Zero to be a fantastic string -- great spin, crisp, good feel. You'll find that it lasts a long time too, without losing these characteristics. About an hour or so before it snaps, it will start to get a bit more "live," and it might even fray a bit, but I get more playtime out of this string than any other I've used.I’m ready to eat a little crow. Zero was a little pingy and launchy feeling at first but that settled down in 20 mins or so. The pocketing improved at that point also butbi wouldn’t say pocketing is a major strength of this string.
Overall it had above average power and spin with above average consistency. It’ll be interesting to see how is plays in hours 2-8 as to me that is when a poly makes the cut or gets set to the side.
I also see this as a great all court string. Serving, volleys, and backhand slice were some of my favorite shots. And I’d say those are my three weakest strokes, so I appreciated the help.
