It takes little to no effort to show some manners and courtesy on court, to the umpire, ball kids, line judges, crowd and opponents.
It's quite rare that someone really stands out as being particularly courteous, mostly because we don't get to hear what they're saying, but this US Open has been eye opening with the mics behind the player chairs at end changes. It really shows who is respectful and polite and who isn't. For me, a polite player is just as endearing as someone who dazzles with their play.

Some stand outs for me have been:
Anderson, Basilashvili and Pouille

I agree with all so far. Monfils also seems to have a great relationship with everyone, probably because he doesn't take it too seriously. Same with Tsonga...something about the French guys it seems. Cornet however is the opposite, terrible manners on court.

Djokovic stands out as someone with bad manners, he often argues with umpires and shouts at ball kids a lot, especially when losing.
Murray started well against Verdasco, but as the match slipped away he became pretty blunt and rude. It went from 'please can one of the ball kids get my drink?' to 'one of the ball kids needs to get my stuff.' He also got pretty understandably annoyed when Verdasco received coaching during the heat break.
Serena also stands out as someone who has had a bad history with umpires and line judges...the infamous default from the US Open springs to mind...

When things sometimes get more serious and an Umpire or player doesn't fall for Monfils's antics (whether it's slowing the game down or clowning around), he can go complete 180 and act real poorly.

Querrey, Mischa, Seppi and Jaziri are all players that act pretty nice most of the time.

Strangely Wawrinka and Tsonga don´t seem to get along.

You don't have a clue. Djokovic is not arguing with umpires frequently and he is not yelling AT ball kids (if you mean that moment when he yelled at his box). I saw Wawrinka hurrying ball kids like Djokovic, but nothing about that was pointed here or anywhere ever. Saw Wawrinka spitting on clay court several times, but you never would said Wawrinka has bad manners, only Djokovic. Nadal can decide what umpire will be on his matches, but no, Djokovic is having "argues".
Fed says he asks Novak about behaving in front of queen, guess first thing that comes on your mind to ask is one with bad manners...

I had no idea about this, but it's interesting. I can see at recreational level all the easy ways players can fall out, dodgey line calls etc. At the professional level though, when so much is taken out of their hands I don't know what there is other than personal issues or professional jealousy that could cause it. Not really like either of them could be accused of on court antics.

Ok dude, your opinion. But I'm talking about when the commentators specifically highlighted how his behaviour did not seem respectful or befitting of a champion at Wimbledon when he was shouting and goading the crowd and yelling at the ball kids to move faster with his towels. I know his frustration was with the match, but how players handle it is exactly what I'm talking about in this thread. Thanks buddy ;)

or at the 2014 YE when Wawrinka was yelling at Mirka while clutching his racquet as if it were a billy club

Hadn’t she been insulting him for a few minutes and when he got p*ssed she started yelling crybaby?
I heard she told him to stop whining and was giving him a hard time from the stands and then he went off.

But ----- he said/she said/they said and it was all ugly.

yes. and I'm sure Mirka is a vile person. doesn't mean a grown man should be wielding a racquet like a weapon when confronting her.

Yes, they've had several spats. I get the impression Tsonga is a bit p****d that Wawrinka suddenly and unexpectedly overtook him to win multiple Slams at a late stage of his career.
I think one time Tsonga said he would prefer his own career over Wawrinka's which was very stupid. At the time Wawrinka had 1 slam.
Also French players had a dispute with Stan during Davis Cup match-up.

No solidarity amongst French-speakers then? ;)

I got the impression Stan was a popular winner at RG in 2015 probably in part because he is a native French speaker (the first one to win the title since Noah in 1983).
