Oh yes, Pete was regularly outplayed on the baseline - in matches that he won. Total profiteer of the 90s power age... Sampras wouldn't have 3 slams in this slower balls era.
His serve would be bigger, and he wouldn't miss it with "Cheatilon" strings that Fred has been profiteering off of. That would be scary enough, but it gets worse: with modern nutrition, the effects of his anemia would likely be mostly ameliorated. Dude would be a titan.

Having said that, you're correct in that PETE could have off days where he made lots of errors. But he also could have on days where he hit almost all winners.

This time I want you kibitzers to decide which FH is best, not (necessarily) biggest or most imposing. Best entails: wins a lot of points with, is reliable both offensively and defensively, is a high percentage shot and so forth.
Gonzalez for explosiveness
Sampras and Fed Next. Sampras for outright wining points with it. Sampras literally dared people to go to his running FH. Fed's is less powerful but he uses it while transitioning into the court, basically punishes anything remotely short.

Federer's FH is superior to Sampras's.

Yes, there, I said it.

On the other hand, Pete played with an ancient 1988 (or thereabouts) Wilson for many years. We can't know how players from decades ago would have played with better gear.

Verdasco looks to have an identical FH technically to Nadal.. Correct me if I'm wrong.. He's just a much weaker player and has a weaker BH
Verdasco's forehand is much more similar to Federer's than Nadal's. It's a compact, precise, relaxed motion, not the brute-force topspin monster Nadal has.

It doesn't become a problem until you insult someone. I don't want to discuss this any further, but when you call someone "not very bright" don't be surprised if you get called out like that.

Whatever. It's not too big of a deal. Just one of those things that irritates me slightly.
Thing is he was right, you were wrong. You should own that.

Sampras on the run, game over (on non clay surfaces). His bh was lacking in neutral rallies, but on the run even that side was effective.
Agassi, Federer, Nadal, and one of my fav was Boris Becker, all stand out with me.
