Winner Sinner

Hall of Fame
Given that on the basis of cosmic nothingness in a thread reference is made to the presumed indifference that the Italian player arouses towards fans from all over the world, let's see what comes out in a survey within a forum that can in its own small way act as a thermometer on the kind of popularity that Sinner has.
Obviously the question is not only addressed to the player side with the associated gameplay style, but covers both the player and the character.
But here too I would like to reiterate that last year Sinner was elected favorite player by fans all over the world according to the annual awards that the ATP has been establishing for several years now.

LOL

Here too, being called out by those who spend their days speaking loudly against Fedal's fans, always wanting to demonstrate when Nole is the biggest player despite it being an anachronistic topic, I take it as a great proof of esteem.
After all, great incompetence is masked in this way, that is, by always putting it at war with ghosts.

Then I would avoid the modus operandi of jumping on the bandwagon.
We early Sinner fans don't want people who switch from one bandwagon to another depending on who dominates.

Year over year he has made the most improvements, especially mentally in how he competes. He is articulate and introspective, a very fair sportsman, well respected by peers, and one of the cleanest ball strikers to ever play, though he can, and often does play all court as well.

Yeah, I like the young man.

See didn't again .

Too freaking long paragraphs.

Trust me you are not worthy culturally speaking to defend Jannik.
We in the Sinnerfam don't need turncoats like you.
You see that in another thread someone is saying that Djokovic dominated in the era of inflation, run and go defend your idealistic and existential position.

Leave the Sinner topic to those who have a certain knowledge of the facts.

Fully agree to that. I like Jannik but not the mad fan
Think of some Djokovic fans who are still fighting against windmills by filling the forum with anachronistic comments, and who at the first available opportunity try to jump on the bandwagon of the new winner.

It's hilarious that certain calls are made by similar characters.

Sinner is current affairs, the Djokovic vs Fedal topic is now anachronistic.

I don’t like him much. He's a sort of Djokovic reloaded. He plays very well, but his game doesn't make me dream. He joins the long list of players who make me think that tennis has become boring. And then I don't know what to make of this dodgy story about doping or contamination.

I thought I was going to enjoy Carlos putting Novak to bed, but it looks now like it will be this gunslinger. I like it.

I’m a tennis fan and enjoy watching him play. I try to replicate his philosophy but as a park player. I like how he hits hard to big targets, a deadly combo. I’m especially excited for the upcoming French and Wimbledon to see if he can get at least 1. Likewise, I’m excited to see if Carlos can snag a HC major. Instant classics when those 2 matchup!
Overall, I like him and respect him as the current #1.

I don't like his fans.

Completely indifferent. I don't know the guy. He's just another tennis player like Federer, Nadal, Nole, Alcaraz, Wilander...whomever.

I voted yes. Even despite the doping allegations.

He seems like a decent enough guy. Just massively overrated by his fans. Kind of like Lame Horse Nick Kyrgios in that respect.

I would have been relieved to watch him win the WTF with a bit of a struggle

Watching him just overpower everyone was unsettling after the doping scandal

Wonder if it has ever happened in the Open era where such a high % of fans are indifferent to the clear #1 player in the world.

Of course it has happened many times. Sinner is actually very popular. But if we are asking biased fedfans who could not move on since he retired , then the fault lies in us.

He is a great guy by all accounts, a top player and great for the game. A resounding yes.

You mean when he said he had tonsillitis but turns out he couldn't play the Olympics and was on vacation with his gf?
I also can't really consider him as a true dominating tennis player since he lost to old Djokovic convincingly last year before this season where Djokovic's level dropped considerably. He also couldn't beat Alcaraz in the big matches this season despite the massage cream.

I'm still blown away that he has any full throated supporters. Imagine spending your days online hyping up and defending Jannik Sinner lol

I disagree with the premise of the video. The Jannik Sinner winning majors this year is not the same player who was playing two years ago. He evolved into a champion.

Kyrgios could have taken this route, but his heart wasn't in it.
I appreciate your feedback.

My feelings are that Nick doesn't play defense well enough to win a slam.

He doesn't move like Sinner, who is actually pretty agile for a tall guy.

You could give him the mindset of Rafa and it would not make a difference at this point.

Nick needed to develop that defensive game years ago.

His window for winning a slam has closed.
