I don't think he's faking, but as he himself said, once he warmed up and got going he was fine. So it is probably not as serious as it looks, or as people are making it out to be, and losing the break he had in the third probably had nothing to do with it.

MTO's suck and shouldn't exist. If you can't play without taking one, then quit.

The MTOs are real. When he calls for one an MTO is actually occurring and I don't believe the act of the MTO occurring to be illusory.

If this is about the match vs PCB, IIRC no MTO was called for.

Djokovic is one of the worst people in the history of sport, and I really look forward to him being stuck on 17 slams forever while Nadal sails to 25.

Not gonna happen. Djokovic is favorite in every slam he plays apart from French where he's pretty much joint favorite.

He literally came out to the match with a taped neck?? It's usually the case that when Novak isn't injured/carrying a niggle, he doesn't need a MTO and most likely won't be down in a match.

But when he IS injured or carrying a problem, clearly he would need a MTO/fall behind in a match. Why would that be seen as ''faking''?

Also, a player CAN be injured and still win. It doesn't mean they were faking injury??

A lot of top players in any sport play through injury (and win) even if it's not healthy to do so. e.g. football, golf, basketball and clearly tennis

First of all, my understanding is he did not actually take a medical timeout.
Faking is maybe a tough word, but he defo uses it to mentally challenge the opponent. He does it scary often, and I am beginning to find very nasty
Scary often? Can you back that claim up with facts? I bet you can't.

Win at all costs, baby, As Bolletteri would say. In 50 years they’ll acknowledge the victory, not the despicable gamesmanship.

He served 40% in the first set, and lost it! Did he fake that too? Maybe he felt perfectly fine, but wanted to serve 40% so that people would believe he was sick?

Exactly. I was going to say this before seeing yours.

Also, as I remember. In the 2nd set he once tried to hit 5 consecutive 1 st serves to the T side of Busta and failed all 5. Very strange.

I think he games it up a bit but I don't consider it cheating. I'm sure he feels like it hurts. Everyone should know not to buy it by now.
